Last night and almost every night when I go to bed the kitties fallow me to bed.
The oldest kitty wants pets then sleeps by my feet. After all these years we have it down. The baby kitty has to lay next to me facing me and I have to face her. We sleep with her paw in my hand or her paw on top of my hand. If I mistakenly roll away from her and face another direction she yells at me then climbs over me so that we are facing each other again. I have no Idea why the baby kitty acts this way but she has always sat and stared at me. :rollcat: |
There are birds building nests in trees outside of my front porch. Two of the cats have spent the day sitting on a bench in front of the window that faces the tree. The cats are chattering at the birds and one of the birds keeps flying into the window. I tried closing the curtains and have hanging things there to make it obvious that it's a window so the bird will stop, but it keeps flying into the window. Like every few minutes. So the cats are going nuts and I don't know how the bird is still alive. The old lady cat wants nothing to do with any of it and the dog is happily playing in the muddy back yard.

They got a bath. I take them to the groomer tomorrow and I wanted to make sure the were clean.
|
Oliver has been a mouthy lil shit today.
|
The big boy tomcat had a bubble bath and a brush... that was fun.
Other than that there was a dog playing in the mud and nesting in my bed, (after washing off he mud) and other cats wrestling and chasing through the house for most of the day. Oh and the big boy tomcat got himself stuck out on the back porch early this morning when it was still pretty cold out. He sneaks out when I let the dog out in the morning and today I don't notice until I heard his pitiful crying a little later when had gotten enough fresh air. He was pretty full of drama about it. |
Oliver seems to have fully recovered from his seizure yesterday. It was slow going this time but it had been a really long time since the last one so there's a bit of balance there, somewhere.
He wasn't too hateful when I gave him his oral antibiotic but he did immediately turn around and go to the door, waiting to be let out. I do this in the bathroom now. I had to pull him back over to do the ear drops but he minded that less because it comes with ear rubs and general petting. After a minute, he got up and went back to the door because he knows that he gets another packet of bisque to wash down the taste of the medicine. |
Bink has discovered the top of the washer to take a nap. Roomie left her clean clothes on it, so now it will be covered with short black hair, bummer.
My clothes are hung with care in the closet, lol, sans cat hair love. MiMi prefers to lay on the computer table in front of me, Savannah is sleeping on the ottoman stretched on top of my Grandmother's Afghan, Bella is outside on the front porch sunning herself, Buddy is outside hunting for geckos, Zoe is still in her basket.. she loves the white Basket. Sophie is napping in the walkway so I have to stretch to get around her, Tater is napping under the rocker... I have no idea why. Time to make breakfast, later gators! :rubberducky: |

He's such a sweet baby boy, sometimes. He was adorable when he woke me up this morning and he took his meds okay and he was cute and snuggly when I came back from the gym. He's definitely feeling better today, so that makes me happy.
|
Oliver passed away today. It was quiet and peaceful and without any more pain.
I miss the lil bugger so bad already. Now who's going to hog the bed? :vigil: |

The oldest kitty is napping and the baby kitty is laying on my lap begging for pets.

Tiny Dog almost had a run around the neighborhood this morning. When we went out, with her on her leash, there was a big cat just sitting in the middle of the driveway. The cat hesitated just a second, just long enough for Tiny Dog and me to see it, and then the cat took off. Tiny Dog took off right behind - and I just barely had time to grip down on the leash. Thank goodness I did not have to chase her around the neighborhood before work! Of course, there was lots of sniffing that had to be done in the yard before Tiny Dog and I could go back inside.
Kitty Diva had a very laid-back day, as usual. She did have the special pleasure of sleeping in the guest bedroom today. I had a guest this weekend, and Kitty Diva enjoyed smelling and rubbing all over the guest-scented sheets, apparently. |
Eleanor scared the bleep out of me..
I was getting dressed for bed and just happened to look down in time to see a skinny grey leg poke out from under the bed. She was aiming to touch my foot... I had no idea she was asleep under my bed...omg if she had touched my foot without my seeing it was her I would've been out the door without touching the floor.... Yes. I'm still scared of the under the bed monster...irrational and yet.. Is it really? |
she shoved a poor whats left of a monkey at me until I hurled it across the house for her. .... this was AFTER back yard fetch was over.... she sure is fetch happy.....
:dog: |
Kitty Diva attempted to break into a new bag of dog food that was temporarily sitting on the kitchen floor. She was trying to show me that I needed to fill her bowl with kitty food. I got the message.
Tiny Dog almost escaped out the kitchen door! It happens about once a year, usually in spring. Fortunately I caught her by trapping her between my legs and the wall, which she did not like at all. Hopefully she is now over these escape attempts, for this year at least. |
They took a nice walk and played ambassador...so I met a lot of nice people...

Smudge went outside, got muddy and then jumped back into bed in between us :/
Romee growled at us every time we moved in bed and disturbed her. Akira barked at absolutely nothing. Our babies are awesome!! <3 |

The oldest kitty does not feel well seems her allergies have turned into a sinus infection. I give her the allergy meds and put her in a steamy bathroom on the advice of a friend but she hated it. She has an appointment with the veterinarian Thursday but I may take her tomarrow.
The baby kitty is keeping an eye on her friend. |
after we played fetch it was really warm out so she came in, i jumped in the shower and when I got out i could not find her anywhere. I looked in the back yard, in ever spot that she usually goes in. I started yelling her name, she pops up and comes running, from the couch right in front of me! WHEW she scared me
|
Little Bits had a ball last night when she went out to do her thing, Rowdy tagged along so out they went. After a while hear comes the wild bunch , Rowdy dry as can be...the Bits must have found a deep place in the yard cause she went swimming some how as she was soaking wet wild hair and all.

Jacques has been super naughty lately....Thats all I have to say about that............

They are both napping soundly after expending much energy in the woods...it's a total win-win :)

This happened last night, I was caring for the oldest kitty and shutting down the house for bedtime when I walked into the bedroom to find the baby kitty standing over the toy box to select a toy. The look on her face when I walked in said it all. She looked like she just got caught with her paw in the cookie jar haha! Sneaky kitty!!
Oldest kitty goes to the vet first thing in the morning for what I think is a sinus infection. Poor kitty. :cat: |
The cats are on the back porch alternating between sun bathing and chasing a big huge fly that is out there. The dog got himself tangled up in some brush early this morning and is now sleeping off the trauma...

The oldest kitty did a great job at the vet she didn't bite anyone. She got antibiotics for her sinus infection.
The baby kitty is happy that we are home and demanding pets. :rollcat: |
Twas yesterday...
The boys got caught out in a wicked rain storm at the top of Chimney Rock with me... Yoda was a former farm dog who slept in a dirt hole. He dealt with it well. We sat by a big rock since the rain was whipping so hard that it hurt. He kept looking up at the gigantic American flag that they. have up there. Jacques was less stoic. He's been pampered always.. He got under the rock as far as he could and shivered and groomed. I had to bundle him in my jacket to make the descent. Lol Both of my boys were tuckered out and slept really well last night. As did their mama.. |
Misbehaving as usual while I was getting everything prepared to drop them off for boarding, my dog is bad lol
|
Was sitting here in my chair, and Zoe suddenly falls from the back of the chair, LoL, lands on my shoulders and neck, she got so relaxed she rolled off the back, LoL... She is so funny.

Yoda is passed out on the couch next to me....snoring like a grown man....
I know the dogs don't eat while I'm gone...now I'm wondering if they don't sleep either. I so need a Nanny cam.... |
We hiked to an awesome bald and took in the amazing views.
The boys then proceeded to make me constantly nervous by getting too close to the edge of the cliff. I swear they did it on purpose. Now we are all tuckered out. But...this time we made it out BEFORE a storm came up...good thing too cuz there was thunder and lightning. Yoda hates both. |
This morning we had a big thunder storm, Riley who lived his first 6 years in Seattle all of the sudden hates the rain, and now shakes and quivers for thunder and lighting. He took his whole 60 pounds and curled up between my pillow and the head board. While little miss alice thought it was play time and danced over both of us trying to figure out what new game we were playing.

Second time this week- when I went to let the dog out this morning, my old lady cat bolted out the back door. She's an indoor cat. First time, the other day, she just sat at the door looking confused like she didn't know how she got there. Today though, I had to follow her around the house to catch her and bring her back in. Which was awesome cause I'd just rolled out of bed and was in my pajamas with my hair sticking up all over. :dance2::rollcat::cat:
|
My kitty Chung Pow flat out tried to kill me today. I think he was trying to open a vein. To be fair, I have to give him antibiotics twice a day and he hates it, but still....lol
