A text message saying our son drank an ounce of chocolate milk by sucking it out of a sippy cup. its an accomplishment by far. Avery has come a long way in 2.5 years.

I've kept on track with my eating despite a highly stressful day and I've managed to stay even-tempered and calm when everyone else was either exploding like a volcano or simmering like pot of pasta. I feel good about me today! :thumbsup:

My "Hi Norm" moment at the local Firehouse Subs. The 3-4 workers there know me and what I order now. When I walked in the door, all three were like, "Hi Chris!" It was pretty funny. One of the girls came up to me and my roomie and was like, "Mmmm, which of you smell so good?" It was, of course, me. *grin* I guess I smelled better than turkey sandwiches.

What brought me joy today....
Waking up to beautiful sunshine peeking in through my window. My quiet time this morning while getting dressed for work. Walking out of the house, and seeing my beautiful flowers lining the porch, that I planted this weekend. A mocha frappuccino for breakfast! |

Being able to eat lunch outdoors in the sunshine, brought me great joy. ;)

I got to see my grandniece, who lives in Tenn. We have grown dear to one another...she is a young teen and is growing up so fast...
and I got to see my sister and my daughter today too..we four went out for dinner at our favorite place, the Flaming Ice Cube (its on the web!), a vegan restaurant. (No, I am not vegan but I love their food) We were all laughing so much, people were smiling at how happy we all were. My daughter slipped away and went to their gift shop and came back with a new web kinz..the portuguese water dog! It looks just like my black and white newfie! it was a fine time with maids, mothers and crones... |

Friday! Friday has brought me absolute joy. Dance the hokey-pokey in your office joy. Putting my left foot in and heading under the exit sign; Friday joy...the fact that it's 71 degrees and sunny in NY only serves to augment my joy! ; )
