– Removed the storm window and added the screens to the front door and sliding door.
– Assembled a bookcase – Started assembling a sewing table but I need a better screwdriver. Will finish tomorrow. – Exercised |
- Mowed the front and back lawn
- Applied spring fertilizer to the front and back lawn - Removed some peony plants that I thought I killed off last year - Applied weed killer to the front driveway And managed to get it all done before it started raining. |
So far, not nearly as much as I thought I would have done by now but I made an executive decision and slept a huge chunk of the morning. I've been shorting myself of sleep for so long, it felt entirely alien but nice.
The first load of laundry is finished and the bed has been remade and the bedroom put back into a semblance of order. The second load of laundry is in the dryer now. The fur babies have been taken care of and a load of trash and recycling have been take out of the house as well. The fridge had a once over in terms of clearing old things out and the floors have been swept and all the carpets except the craft room have been vacuumed. The big cat tree had a once over with the vacuum nozzle as well. I talked to a friend while I ate brunch and have putzed around online, playing checkers and making a pleasure purchase while doing research for an upgrade purchase. I've also moved a couple things around the kitchen in the name of organization. I have a list as long as my arm, which is clearly not getting finished today but at this moment, I'm okay with that. I know I'll get to several more of the smaller items on the list but I'm pretty sure the big furniture moving is not happening. |
I went to CVS for a few things.
Took Milo out in the car. Started the laundry. Cleaned the house. Made cinnamon rolls and hash browns. Ordered a Target same day delivery. Wiped down everything from CVS and Target. Colored my hair. Later I will finish the laundry and make dinner. |
* Slept in (I slept over ten hours).
* Had a lovely breakfast with my Love, Rico. * Went shopping for a few items at the grocery store (I made Chipolte salads with baby spinach leaves, tempeh browned in evoo, sliced avocado and ruby red Cherub tomatoes, topped with corn kernels, wild brown rice and quinoa, and baby black beans, for our lunches this week). * Painted my fingernails after I manicured my own natural nails. * Ironed a few scarves, to go with certain things I will wear this week at work. * Oh, and I cleaned out our sock drawers so I can go on a sock shopping spree. I will keep the odd socks I find to make cute sock puppets for Christmas toys to give to children as keep sake gifts, this coming holiday season. |
At work? Not much of anything, unfortunately. My new hire had problems with every account that he set up and none of his passwords worked after they were created and emails from Payroll just disappeared. Also, the grinder he used shredded a brand new blade in seconds.
Is it Mercury retrograde? |
At work I did a presentation on census and attendance then I did huddles and supervisions.
At home I took Milo out and made dinner. |
not much, I still have alot of things to do before Friday!

Bush hogged the small side of the driveway.
Weedeated the end of the driveway. Tore down some brush around the fence posts down there Cleaned out the fridge and washed a sink full of dishes Made my breakfast and washed dishes again. I'm done for today...not really |
All boxes in the femme cave are unpacked, broke down, stacked in the garage ready to be tossed out.
I still have boxes in the garage to unpack but will do that next spring or summer after I get some shelves built in the garage. My walls are still bare, but I’m no longer staring at boxes. It’s feeling like home. |
It may not sound like much but Steve and his son came by to take away the empty boxes and move some large pieces of furniturea again—everything is now in its place (as long as I don’t change my mind again).
Also, cute Tony* (a neighbor) came by and removed some doors I had on a closet in the bedroom. Have decided to remove the doors and hang curtains. I’m a happy camper and am ready to start adding artwork to the walls. I can do some on my own and will get Rick to help me with some others. Things could be worse. *Tony is a dude and I’m a lesbian but I can still recognize cuties. He’s a biker who keeps an eye out for some of the retirees. |
I've been taking stock of things shuffling, rearranging, working on inventory since this morning. With food out of the way I'm taking a look at other basic necessities. Food wasn't too bad. Food = Happy and filling, thinking about tasty times ahead. Laundry soap, dish detergent, other cleaning supplies, household necessities which just point to drudgery and endless amounts of it under bitter circumstances, in deplorable conditions, or even worse. I guess if shit hits the fan it will prove to have been worth the effort but for now – yuck!

Laundry (and a few other household chores), Banking errands, and I got our tax appts scheduled for us both. Oh, and daydreaming about our next vacation.
|
I made a blueberry blackberry pie.
I did some cleaning. I took the dogs out several times and worked on training the new 3 month old pup. My chest and arm started to hurt, so I didn't accomplish much. But I was content with what I did and how good my hot shower felt later. (I was reminded of the Lupus Spoon Theory) |
I made a good dinner of salmon patties and veggies. Made me proud considering my current situation with bulging lumbar disks that make certain chores very painful.
I walked the dogs outside a few times, surprised at how chilly it was outside. I accomplished reaching out to a local friend I haven't heard from since December. We both go different directions at times, her work is consuming and my Lupus tends to make me antisocial. It's an accomplishment for me to reach out and communicate. We set up lunch for next week. |
I got a lot more accomplished today than I thought I would. To end my chores, I marinated 3 small pork roasts so I can grill them tomorrow.
All 3 dogs are exercised, fed, happy and now sleeping. Now time for Momma to rest. |
Moving is always fun especially while dealing with major health issues
Today I got half of my 21,000 listed postcards on eBay set up and organized in my “warehouse” (aka the garage). Yesterday I got my office equipment set up in my temporary office and office & packing supplies put up and organized on shelves in the garage. Tomorrow I will finish setting up the rest of the postcards. Business is open!

So far, after showering and getting all dolled up for my workday, I am on my second cup of coffee (home brewed Caramel flavored coffee with zero sugar coffee creamer in Pumpkin Spice).
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...5829702b_b.jpg Workday cometh soon, so I ought to make something to eat. Scrambled eggs, toast (half a slice) with oranged coconut jelly and butter. Got my fitbit watch on too, so I shall see how many steps I get today at work. :blueheels: |
Today? I got out of bed which, on a cold and damp morning, feels like enough of an accomplishment. I'm sipping an enormous mug of Italian coffee and sifting through emails. Since I don't have to be in the office today or meet with clients, I can wear sweat pants and a beat up sweat shirt.

A marathon grocery shopping trip (3 different stores because of sales) then unloading everything from the truck.
