A Woman's Needs -- Tammy Wynette and Elton John Where have you been are you still on my side Is that love or regret that I see in your eyes How many years have we played out this game Every time we come close the answer's always the same I guess some souls get restless under the skin There's a shortage by half of marrying men You know that I love you but I love to be free So tell me what do you want, yeah, from a gypsy like me? I need a ring on my finger, champagne on ice One man to show me the best part of life Is that what you want? Yeah, that's what I need A home and a family makes sense for us A solid foundation built out of trust Do you think you can find that with someone like me? Two arms to hold you, one place to be Are just some of the things that a woman needs I've been shortchanged and cheated so many times But you're all that I've wanted For all of my life I've searched for the reasons, known how I've felt But what can I give you when I can't trust myself? I need a ring on my finger, champagne on ice One man to show me the best part of life Is that what you want? Yeah, that's what I need A home and a family makes sense for us A solid foundation built out of trust Do you think you can find that with someone like me? Two arms to hold you, one place to be Are just some of the things that a woman needs. Two arms to hold you, one place to be Are just some of the things that a woman needs. Two arms to hold you, one place to be Are just some of the things that a woman needs... ~Theo~ :winky::heartbeat::listening::bouquet: |

I'm weary, just weary of all of the sad news and panic around me these days....
A Little Good News -- Anne Murray I rolled out this morning...kids had the morning news show on Bryant Gumbel was talking about the fighting in Lebanon Some senator was squawking about the bad economy It's gonna get worse you see we need a change in policy There's a local paper rolled up in a rubber band One more sad story's one more than I can stand Just once, how I'd like to see the headline say Not much to print today can't find nothing bad to say Because... Nobody robbed a liquor store on the lower part of town Nobody OD'd, nobody burned a single building down Nobody fired a shot in anger...nobody had to die in vain We sure could use a little good news today I'll come home this evening...I'll bet that the news will be the same Somebody takes a hostage...somebody steals a plane How I wanna hear the anchor man talk about a county fair And how we cleaned up the air...how everybody learned to care Whoa, tell me... Nobody was assassinated in the whole Third World today And in the streets of Ireland all the children had to do was play And everybody loves everybody in the good old USA We sure could use a little good news today Nobody robbed a liquor store on the lower part of town Nobody OD'd, nobody burned a single building down Nobody fired a shot in anger...nobody had to die in vain We sure could use a little good news today :heartbeat: Everyone, please stay safe. You, my community, are loved. :heartbeat: ~Theo~ :winky::heartbeat::listening::bouquet: |

The Last Cowboy Song -- The Highwaymen (American Outlaws: Live at Nassau Coliseum, 1990) This is the last cowboy song The end of a hundred year Waltz The voices sound sad as they're singin' along Another piece of America's lost He rides the feed lots, clerks in the markets On weekends sellin' tobacco and beer And his dreams of tomorrow, surrounded by fences But he'll dream tonight of when fences weren't here He blazed the trail with Lewis and Clark And eyeball to eyeball, old Wyatt backed down He stood shoulder to shoulder with Travis in Texas And rode with the 7th when Custer went down This is the last cowboy song The end of a hundred year Waltz The voices sound sad as they're singin' along Another piece of America's lost Remmington showed us how he looked on canvas And Louis Lamour has told us his tale Me and Johnny and Waylon and Kris sing about him And wish to God we could have ridden his trail The old Chisholm trail is covered in concrete now They truck it to market in fifty foot rigs They roll by his markings and don't even notice Like livin' and dyin' was all he ever did This is the last cowboy song The end of a hundred year Waltz The voices sound sad as they're singin' along Another piece of America's lost This is the last cowboy song The end of a hundred year Waltz ~Theo~ :winky::listening::bouquet: |

Somebody's Always Saying Goodbye -- Anne Murray Railroad station, midnight trains Lonely airports in the rain And somebody stands there with tears in their eyes It's the same old scene, time after time That's the trouble with all mankind, somebody's always sayin' goodbye Taxi cabs leave in the night Greyhound buses with red tail lights Someone's leavin' and someone's left behind Well I don't know how things got that way But every place you look these days Somebody's always sayin' goodbye Take two people like me and you We could have made it, we just quit too soon Oh the two of us, we could have had it all If we'd only tried... But that's the way love is, it seems Just when you've got a real good thing Somebody's always sayin' goodbye Somebody's always sayin' goodbye Somebody's always sayin' goodbye... ~Theo~ :winky::listening::bouquet: |

Another Pot O' Tea -- Anne Murray and Emmylou Harris Put on another pot o' tea 'Cause I'm in love with the Irish accent to your story And I need someone to help me. Well, they say that now you don't talk straight And as of late it's been my lot to be afraid To remember you by anything But memories I already keep. So put on another pot o' tea 'Cause I'm love with the Irish accent to your story And I need some sympathy. It's harder when it takes so long to leave The table where we all learned to laugh and learned to grieve Over the pain that came so close to you And it comes so close to me today. So put another pot o' tea 'Cause I'm in love with the Irish accent to your story And I need a rosary... ~Theo~ :winky::listening::bouquet: |

Sam -- Olivia Newton-John I heard that you're on your own now So am I I'm living alone now I was wrong So were you What will you do? Are you glad to be free? Are you feeling lost just like me? Longing for company Oh Sam, Sam, you know where I am Come around and talk awhile I need your smile You need a shoulder Oh Sam, Sam, you know where I am And the door is open wide Come on inside Longing to see you Oh Sam, Sam, you know where I am I find the days hard to face now Empty rooms There's much too much space now And the nights go so slow I'm sure you know Wish I knew what to do It would be so nice seeing you And it might help you too Oh Sam, Sam, you know where I am Come around and talk awhile I need your smile You need a shoulder Oh Sam, Sam, you know where I am And the door is open wide Come on inside Longing to see you Oh Sam, Sam, you know where I am Oh Sam, you know where I am Oh Sam, ooh Sam You know, you know You know where I am ~Theo~ :winky::listening::bouquet: |
For my dear TG Butch friend in Berlin, Germany
Be Here Now (Ray LaMontagne)
*Lyrics* Don't let your mind get weary and confused Your will be still, don't try Don't let your heart get heavy child Inside you there's a strength that lies Don't let your soul get lonely child It's only time, it will go by Don't look for love in faces, places It's in you, that's where you'll find kindness Be here now, here now Be here now, here now Don't lose your faith in me And I will try not to lose faith in you Don't put your trust in walls 'Cause walls will only crush you when they fall Be here now, here now Be here now, here now :listening: |

Hero -- Enrique Iglesias Let me be your hero Would you dance if I asked you to dance? Would you run and never look back? Would you cry if you saw me crying? Would you save my soul tonight? Would you tremble if I touched your lips? Would you laugh? Oh, please tell me this. Now would you die for the one you love? Hold me in your arms, tonight. I can be your hero, baby. I can kiss away the pain. I will stand by you forever. You can take my breath away. Would you swear that you'll always be mine? Would you lie? Would you run and hide? Am I in too deep? Have I lost my mind? I don't care. You're here tonight. I can be your hero, baby. I can kiss away the pain. I will stand by you forever. You can take my breath away. Oh, I just want to hold you. I just want to hold you, oh, yeah. Am I in too deep? Have I lost my mind? Well, I don't care. You're here tonight. I can be your hero, baby. I can kiss away the pain, oh, yeah. I will stand by you forever. You can take my breath away. (I can be your hero, baby) I can be your hero. I can kiss away the pain. And I will stand by you forever. You can take my breath away. You can take my breath away. I can be your hero. ~Theo~ :winky::listening::heartbeat::bouquet: |

Overlooked at the time of release `Just Another Diamond Day` by female folkie `Vashti Bunyan` has become a hugely sought after rarity. So hard to find now the 1970 UK 1st Issue on the Black/Silver Phillips label (6308 019) in Gatefold Sleeve that it sells for well over a thousand GBP, some copies have reached £1400. Even an average copy is a worthwhile investment of this one – check out my other youtube rarities Side 1 1. Diamond Day 2. Glow Worms 3. Lily Pond 4. Timothy Grub 5. Where I Like to Stand 6. Iris's Song for Us Just Another Diamond Day is the great debut album by United Kingdom singer-songwriter Vashti Bunyan. In the mid to late 1960s, Bunyan was under contract to Andrew Oldham, which saw her release two singles. However, Bunyan found the experience frustrating, and decided to head for the Scottish islands in search of an artistic commune supposedly established by Donovan. She travelled around the countryside with her partner Robert, in a horse-drawn wagon. It was during these travels that she wrote the songs which would later appear on Just Another Diamond Day. Bunyan returned to London where she was urged by producer Joe Boyd to record her songs while they were still fresh. The recording session took place throughout December 1969 at Sound Techniques in London. Song arrangements were performed by Robert Kirby, who also worked with Nick Drake. Members of Fairport Convention and Incredible String Band contributed to some tracks. The album was initially released in 1970 but was a commercial failure and Bunyan retired from music for many years. I was just watching an online news clip about the Emergency Field Hospital that will be operational, as of today (I think is what I heard), in the East Meadow of Central Park. It's surreal, the footage I saw. Almost like the M*A*S*H 4077th field hospital we used to see on TV, years ago.
