I am sending you my thoughts, prayers and plenty of hugs for your trip next week. I remember watching my dad going through all of his medical issues and how hard it was emotionally and physically hard on him and my family. The day I walked into his hospital room after his double bypass surgery, just seeing him was the hardest on me. I remember him as being this man who would play softball tournaments at Christmas time to make sure under privileged kids had presents. He also had his bad side and I have more of those memories than anything else. When he passed away, it f**king hurt more than anything else. To this day, I am still trying to sort out those emotions.

I got back a while ago from the car dealership, where my car is awaiting (too expensive) service. Ah well...it all needs to be done and with about 93,000 miles on it I can't complain. So, by the end of today, I'll have a new battery, a new thermostat, new rear brakes and freshly flushed radiator.

I hope the car appreciates it!

Jo: I am praying you will find the same things I did when my mother was in such bad shape. She is doing so much better. I hope for the same for your mom. :vigil:

I had a nightmare about cleaning and cleaning and cleaning the house and nothing ever being done. I would gather the dirty dishes from around the house (dirty dishes do not sit around the house in real life) to wash, only to find the sink had been moved and I had to move all those dishes again. Yikes!!!

Anticipating a much needed relaxing day in our household. Hope everyone has the opportunity to do what you want with your Sunday.

It feels odd to not be getting on the work computer on a Monday morning, but this is the start of 6 days off...and I won't be back at work until a week from tomorrow. Our flight leaves Wednesday afternoon, and I'm both dreading it and anxious for it to hurry up so that I can get a handle on what's going on with my mom.
