When I start back and I'm in the first couple of months of exercising again and attempting to watch what I eat, I crave all the "bad" stuff more than ever. Then, whether I give into the cravings or not, over time I crave it less and less. My body starts to take the control of itself back and, if I listen to it, it will tell me what it wants and what it wants is the better for me stuff. I start craving salads and veggies and clean eating in general. If I eat a lot of junk one night, I'll feel it the next day and it won't feel good. Sure, especially for one week in the month, I will still crave stuff, but I won't lose control with it. I'll be able to take a bite or two or just have one of whatever it is without having to consume the whole bag or box at one sitting. So, give yourself some time. Your body has had a junk diet for quite a while, if you are like me, so it's going to take time to retrain it. First your brain, then your body. Or maybe it's the other way around. Whatever. One leads to the other. |
I want ice cream. I am totally out as of last night. :(
I was at the grocery about an hour ago and spent a good fifteen minutes trying to decide all I wanted in the ice cream section. I don't get much mileage out of a box of anything individually wrapped (Nutty Buddy Cones, Klondyke Bars, Ice Cream Sanwiches, etc.) - at most, two days. So, at that time, I decided I would go to Sam's Club a little later and get one of those gallon and a half buckets of ice cream. Now I am home, all comfy in my boxers and tshirt. All I had during the day was a cinnamon roll and two payday candy bars. Then heated a can of stew soon as I arrived home from buying groceries. Now I am too tired to budge. But I probably will have to go within the hour... make a quickie trip to the near-by grocery store. |

I usually snack on dried fruits and nuts but thats about it now the holidays I make pumpkin pies and sourcream pound cake.

Not feeling 100% so I am wanting Kraft Velveeta Mac n Cheese (my preferred comfort food).

I have fried ice cream, with whipped cream, cheesecake chimichanga with caramel and chocolate drizzled...nice cherry on top....
I also have fresh strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, asian pears and Arnold Palmer {Half Lemonaid, Half iced Tea} I topped off the snack with a Mochaccino though. :hangloose: |
took all my snacks to work and gave them away Thursday. I kept all the healthy snacks. I've gotten off of my healthy eating and started snacking and eating ice cream and stuff like that daily, but I'm on a comeback now. Trying to straighten my bad habits back out into good habits.
One snack I will never give up is nacho's and cheese during football season. |
last night i inadvertently left the cheddar out... so.. i am eating scary cheese... that is damned good at room temp... and saltines...
yum... what i havent been able to figure out.... am i doing really good... or really bad??? this cant be good for me... it tastes too good... but... please tell me i am wrong??? |
