Reminds me of a Virginia Woolf quote:
"As a woman, I have no country. As a woman my country is the world". Quote:

I was born in Santurce Puerto Rico but was raise in New York City, Manhattan and the Bronx. A Nuyorican I left for Boston Ma to attend College, lived in Rhode Island and in Santa Cruz California. Now I live in the great state of Texas:fastdraq:

Born in New Jersey; family moved to Pennsylvania when I was 3; and when I was almost 7 my Dad took a job in North Carolina. With the exception of living briefly in the UK I've been here in NC ever since. There's no place on Earth like the Tarheel State.
As the TV ad said back in the 70s: "Lord, it's just like living in a poem! I like calling North Carolina home!" |
I was born in Lockhart, Texas and grew up mostly in the Austin area. I lived in Albuquerque for 15 years and moved to the Seattle area in 2003.
Austin is home but New Mexico holds a piece of my heart, too. |
This is where I first say that I was born in a hospital..............well, wasn't that the question?
Really though, if it matters to some, ya'll should know I'm Chicago born and bred My dad was a policeman for 36 years and we had to stay in Chicago As an adult, I've lived in a lot of towns surrounding Chicago I've even lived in about 5 different states Younger days, I was restless and traveling fit me well Right now, I'm at peace with where I'm at, but who knows what will come my way in the future |
I was always told I was found under a rock. And sometimes I believe that!
And sometimes I wish I really AM the mailman's kid. :| Born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I've traveled all over the country (on a frickin tour bus) and have lived in MN and Colorado. I'm back in Wisconsin now, have no clue for how long. |
I was born in Middlesboro, KY. Also spelled Middlesborough. The city was believed to be created as the result of a meteor. It is a beautiful place, next to Cumberland Gap State Park and the Gap Pinnacle where you can see VA, KY and TN atop its glory!
I grew up with horses and lotsa places to romp. We moved to Speedwell, TN (about 30 miles away) out on the lake. Seclusion! It was great in the summers with lotsa folks, but winter? OMG, The Shining! So, as soon as I could escape, I did! I traveled a lot, saw the World, and, came right back to TN! Nashville is home for now. Been here about 15 years! Ima Southern Gypsy! |
I was born in South Bend, IN and lived in that area for about 16-17 years. I was raised by my grandma, my grandma's partner and my great grandma we were poor Irish farmers. I dreamed of getting the hell out all my life.
I always believed that the Roma left me on my Gran's doorstep. When I was a kid I would sit in faerie rings with my dog and wait for them to take me, they never took me up on that offer  I lived in Louisville, KY for a brief moment then I moved to Port Huron, MI after that and lived on a commune for 4-5 years. Then I moved all around SE Michigan and finally settled in Detroit for quite a few years all in all about 20 years in Michigan minus a 2 year stent wherein I returned to Indiana to help my grandma and her partner when they became ill and ultimately died. Now I live in Houston, TX. My next trajectory will take me to either to Alaska or the PNW, I think. |

Where I'm from, been, and I'm at
I was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma but lived in Oklahoma City growing up.
Left home at 17 and joined the Army; my first stop was in New Jersey then Massachusettes, where I became a Red Sox fan! Now I'm out of the Army, living in Oklahoma City, back to where I was before I left for the Army. Not very exciting but comforting to say the least. |

L.A. is a great big freeway
Put a hundred down and buy a car In a week, maybe two, they'll make you a star Weeks turn into years. How quick they pass And all the stars that never were Are parking cars and pumping gas OR Living in NY. |
I come from where the rock is made
A big tower dominates the skyline and a million bulbs light up the Promenade http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...ps77de1478.jpg And home to one of the last three 'woody', mobius rollercoasters in the world |
Born in Texas and still here. I love Texas.

Born in IN moved to TN when I was 5 . Lived in NM and UT my early 20's . Then a short stent in NV from there to MN for a little while. Ended back up in TN met my long term ex after I had been back for a few years. After we had been a couple for a two years , we moved to MO. When I had had enough I moved back to TN. Was here for a few years good work was hard to find so went to NY to find work. Ended up working with some white supremacist and then said the hell with it, figured if I had to be around rednecks would be around the ones where I grew up and believe me they aren't as bad as the ones I met in NY. So moved back to TN where I grew up and decided one way or another was going to make it work even if it meant going out over the road to do it lol. Besides that I owned my property down here. Oh yeah forgot about the time think it was only about a week I lived in Tyler , TX in a trailer full of people I knew. Didn't have a bed or privacy there just wasn't for me.
Since I travel now I can see and do different things and still have a home base to come home too. I think even when I retire and if I have the money will still be traveling to different places to visit. |
Born, raised and lived in various parts of....CANADA :)
