Howdy Sea, welcome to BFP! I'm glad you're finding your way around already, it's a neat place to be. There's lots of stuff to read and do. We look forward to your posts when you feel comfortable enough to share :). Have a great day!

Hahaha...I've been told that no one will let me sit in the corner long which is encouraging.

I've been asked several times if I'm from the Midwest. Apparently, I don't always sound like I'm from the South. Accents are interesting, though. Always enjoy hearing different ones.

Great name ! I know what you mean about the draw of the ocean.

I lived landlocked for 18mths once and it was miserable. I need the ocean within driving distance and I'm a happy camper :)

Thank you! Yes...the ocean is very mesmerizing for me. As rough as it can get, there is also something very soothing about it at the same time. Love being near it. You've got me daydreaming! :)

I am the same way, Sea. I don't have a Southern accent, originally being from Nebraska. I do have a more midwestern accent. I love people watching, and also I guess "people listening"!

Hi there!

Thanks for the welcome! Maybe it won't take me too long before I feel comfortable sharing. As a newb, I feel like I have a lot of reading and learning to do first. :)

Hope you have a great day, too!

Well, Clay, there is something quite endearing to ME anyway, about a butch woman with a slow, soft southern drawl whispering in my ear.... swoon!

So you just keep on with your southern roots bad self!

I love how the accents vary from region to region, too. Always interesting.

Welcome to the Planet Sea! (I, too, am drawn to and love the ocean :) )

Gráinne 09-13-2011 11:29 PM

Hey, Sea, we're even in the same city ;)

I too love the sea, anywhere. Not much of a beach person, but love to watch the waves crash on rocks.

I hope you enjoy this place as much as I do, and I look forward to meeting you in person at the Reunion (if not sooner ;)).

Oh, and I don't sound Southern either. I'm originally from Ohio.

Awesome--glad to know you are nearby. :) I look forward to meeting you, too.

I love going to the beach, but not one for baking in the sun anymore. I just love the water, like you said, anywhere. Went to Boston in March years ago, and I was determined to make it out to Cape Cod. And I did. About froze, lol. I just had to see the ocean, though.
