i agree. i definitely see it in myself a lot, but i also feel boxed in by it sometimes.

myth: all femmes wear makeup and heels.

I am a femme. I have also ALWAYS been very nurturing. I've always been the *nice* one. I also sometimes feel very boxed into that role, that expectation (either by someone else, or by me!)

Myth-- Butches/Guys/Boys don't have long hair...

Myth= Boys/Guys/Butches/Men don't have emotions or hurt feelings.

and if they do myth: don't have it ponied with barrettes or pretty, shiny accessories in it.

femme/women/girls = highly emotional and make decisions based on emotions

butches/men/boys = make decisions on logic

myth = gender always matches or determines sexual preference

myth=A strong butch does not cry....

All butches and femmes identify as lesbian.

i wish more would. it's hot
