oldie but classic

I have been singing "Begin the Beguine" for DAYS or if I am not singing it I am whistling it.

I've been humming AND singing that song from "The Sound of Music" "How do you solve a problem like Mariaaaaaaaaaaaa?" Been bouncing around in my head for about 2 weeks now....LOL!! and I have NO idea why!! I haven't seen the movie in at least 2 years!

I'm not even going to TRY to post a song
because it rarely works for me, but Shine On by Georgia Florida Line.
That's been stuck in my head for days!

My neighbors in the subway car this morning had learned this song by the time we got to Manhattan, because I kept singing it and singing it!
(So i made this video of it, too.)

Too damn good NOT to share... :)

And if you need help with posting....
  1. Click the YouTube button above the editing box
  2. Copy and paste the song from YouTube between the two YOUTUBE programming tabs
  3. Leave the portion AFTER the equal sign
  4. I recommend previewing the post before submitting the reply to ensure it looks right

"... But that flag and stone ain't where I feel you anyway...."

I've heard this song so many times, played it over and over and over. While it's about a father losing his son in the war, I "get it". So strongly, I understand that though my older sister, Kim, may physically be laid to rest over 2,200 miles away from me, I still "find her" in a million different places all around me. In the littlest ways, I still celebrate her life. With her birthday approaching, she's even more on my mind. Try to listen to the song without crying.
