The first few times I caught something here in texas, I would ask the guy next to me, what the heck is this? <Holding up my catch> and the guys would laugh and say, a fish, I would get cranky and say, no man, what kind of fish is this, I have never seen one like it before. I caught a lot of slack from the fishermen here, I would have to come home, look on-line and figure out what the heck I caught, lol. Most fish here in texas are silver, or brown, and I am use to rainbow color fishes... Then I finally caught a flounder, and I thought it was a freak fish, I wanted to throw it back into the water until another fisherman said, waitttttttttttttt don't throw that back, it's a flounder, dem is good eat'en. That day I caught a whold bunch of them, and Left drunk and with $80.00 in my pocket cause the guys bought them from me.
Now my goals here are the Red Fish... yeee hawww, I think I am getting the hang of this gulf coast action.

Well this morning after WT went to work i got up and started cleaning and tearing apart my reels and putting fresh line on them. they have set for 8 years with dirt blowing on them and they needed a good cleaning. So Blaze I'm ready. I really want to go flounder fishing. It's a mild fish I don't mind eating. But I just want to go fishing and catch anything LOL. When I use to catch Red Snapper out in San Diego, the problem if you brought them up too fast their tongue blew out of their mouth and and couldn't throw them back so i always found people that wanted them. If I know someone wants the fish I catch i will clean them and give them to them, but if not i catch and release . I heard tell down where the USS Texas battleship is on the other side in the state park is suppose to be a great place to catch flounder and you don't need a license. I watched a couple of guys throwing out a net and catching some fish just up to their knee's.
I wish it would get warmer.

OK for cat fishing it has to be hands down, my Dad's hometown Paris Tennessee. they hold a catfish parade with a catfish princess and the whole nine every year, lol
The sign in the middle of town is a huge catfish....Paris landing state park is also good for bass it's like 110 miles or so of man made lake and absolutely beautiful, a long time favorite spot of my family's. Spitting distance from my dad's house.
< which is the equivalent of about 15 miles, lol>

I went fishing this Thursday, and I caught the BIGGEST speckled salt water trout I've ever caught or even SEEN, PLUS I hooked a really nice sized snook, about seven pounds, and all this from the bridge! There was a cold front coming in, and a half moon in the sky, the night was clear and warm, and I was just chilling there, when ZEEEEEEEEE...... My fishing rod almost bent double and the drag SCREAMED! I grabbed it, tightened the drag, and when I saw the snook, I almost dropped the rod out of sheer amazement! It was a sword spine, and when I cooked it up, I saved the spine, and I'm gonna make a pendant out of it. A lot more original than that old standby, shark's teeth! lol I'll post pictures once it's made. :)

Welcome from the Fishin Femme!

Hi everybody,

My boi Max and I are fishin fanatics. You know it's getting serious between butches and femmes when you combine tackle boxes. LOL. Both freshwater and saltwater. We are located in western upstate NY in Rochester about 15 mins. drive from Lake Ontario and within driving distance of the lovely Finger Lakes region.....

Saltwater... after the BF gathering in NOLA in 2004 we went out on a charter near the Gulf and spent all day catchin 40 - 55 pound redfish and black sea drum. WOW! Timber, you're gonna LOVE it! Amazing fish, amazing fight and our arms were tired by the end of it!

Freshwater..... We don't own a boat (yet) but have gone out on area salmon and trout charters (try to go on one a year, but recently have gotten really seasick, so we might be taking a bit of a hiatus this year), biggest catch to date was a 24 lb. chinook king salmon in the waters off Oswego (and yes, it's up on my wall).... Took 1/2 hour to bring that one in!

From April through October you can find us at area piers, parks and lakes fishing our arms off..... Max prefers using bait most of the time, I prefer using lures because 1. you don't get your hands dirty and 2. when you DO catch a fish, it's usually bigger than what you catch on bait! Speaking of lures.... We have a big assortment.... can ya see this poor lil femme pulling a big black bag on wheels down a 1 mile pier? that's me! :) bag is filled with 3650 etc. trays filled with various lures.... although in early spring/late fall we just get out the spoons box (Cleos rule!)...

Anyone wanna go fishin with us, we're game!! Drop us a PM!

Dressy :)
