Counters are messy right now. Toaster, can openner and GF grill are out. I'll put the grill away soon. No small appliances remain plugged in when not in use for safety and cost reasons.
Microwave is built into the cabinet above the stove, so I have no choice whether it stays out or not. I've never made rice, sticky or not, outside of an Uncle Ben's bag and I'm okay with that. |
Another kitchen question: Do you ever buy food products to try and then not really care for them? If so, do you throw them away immediately or put them up in the cabinet (or freezer, if appropriate) to "save" just in case you run out of other options?
|
Save it just in case, freezing is another option I use as well because I know it will be eaten by someone, in the house.
|
I'm not a risk taker normally. I tend to stick with what I know I like whether it be with grocery shopping or ordering at a restaurant! BUT if I should try something and don't care for it, I will either try and pass it along to someone who might or just toss it out. I don't see the point in keeping something that will just take up space knowing in the long run it'll be tossed eventually at some point.
|
If it is something I like and can use as *leftovers* its a keeper. If not, I toss it to the feral dogs/cats to eat. I have a small kitchen with limited storage, so I don't tend to buy items that wont be useful to another.

Immediately. And then I brush my teeth. After eating something happy. :eatinghersheybar: |
Depends on the product. If it was a recipe, I'll take it over to my neighbor, who has been sick. If it was just a processed food, I'll toss it.

Trader Joe's, if you don't like it, take it back. Try something else. :eating:
I'm braver if I know I'm not stuck with it and have discovered some good things that way. In other places my experiments are usually with produce, it won't keep anyway and unless I think I will finish it, out it goes. |

It's not actually called that, of course, but I found it at Trader Joe's and that's the only place I've found the kind I like. Soft cheese in a roll covered by blueberries and blueberry goo. It's more of a dessert than anything, but it's yummy. AND They let me sample, like, a hundred cheeses. Maybe 74. But a lot. I love that. |
TF says she will eat it, but never does, and then it goes bad in the refrigerator. Or she says she will freeze it (to eat it later), but she never does, and then it goes bad in the refrigerator.

How do I reconcile being a materialist if I also agree there are emergent properties??
|
Which comes first in the hokey pokey? The right foot or the left.
And while we're on the topic of feet.....do dogs get stinky feet like some humans do? One of my little creatures sleeps with her paw pushed up on my face and when she aims for my nose, it really smells. And they're clean cause I don't want to sleep with dirty puppy feet in my mouth so I wash them off every night. |
Puppy feet smell like Fritos. If you like Fritos, it's no biggie.
I don't like Fritos. Sometimes they smell like muddy Fritos, which is better, but I'd also wash some paws if they got crammed up in my face at night. Better yet, I'd set up a pillow fortress to disallow that from happening. Maybe there's a yeast issue? And the right foot goes first for the righties and left foot first for the lefties. |
What the fuck is going on in here?

Okay question from me: Bathroom sinks and products? Do you keep your sink area nice and tidy or do you have stuff everywhere? |
