...fruit smoothies ...mint iced tea ...the special Oreo cookies I bought today ...hiking trails at a peaceful place where there's water and lots of wildlife ...bird and star watching ...the moon tonight (reminds me of "Annie's Moon") ...providing support to friends during their difficult time (my bestie is having surgery next Friday and it breaks my heart that I can't be there) ...living in the country with very few neighbors ...the beautiful sights of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Skyline Drive ...waterfalls ...every minute of time spent with my "Momma Diana" (I adore that woman and appreciate what she has come to mean to me and what she has done for me...damn I miss her!) ...wading in ice cold mountain water ...fishing in a very quiet, secluded place ...my old fashioned photography ...camping alone (with just my buddy Willy) with just the bare basics, a firepit and extra marshmallows ...muscle cars, motorcycles, and big trucks ...watching air shows and hot air balloons ...watching the Firefly series and the movie Serenity "Take my love, take my land Take me where I cannot stand I don't care, I'm still free You can't take the sky from me Take me out to the black Tell them I ain't comin' back Burn the land and boil the sea You can't take the sky from me There's no place I can be Since I found Serenity But you can't take the sky from me... -- waking up to find that Ms Savannah (blond bombshell cocker spaniel) has slept in my bed with me all night...and even more when she's cuddled up next to me under the blanket.
-- going on adventures with Mrs. Oneye, my amazing wife. -- going to the ipod/cd case and picking just the right song for just that specific moment and that 'right' feeling that comes over you when it starts playing. -- having that 'amazingly good tired' that comes after a busy day...where sleep comes with no effort or thought at all and you feel that silent, bodily *sigh* as you drift off. |
