I'm still young enough....
 

to believe I can change the world for the better...and *act* on it!

to believe people are good at heart.

to be surprised at the cruelty of others.

to love learning new things and take classes in whatever strikes my fancy.

to look foolish on occasion and not get fussed about it.

to want to spend all my allowance/paycheck on books, art supplies and travel.

to forget my umbrella/jacket/mittens...and suffer the consequences.

to fight going to the doctor's office when I am sick. (and look for the lollipop basket on the way out)

to lie to my mother about where I was over the weekend (some things never change)

to collect Legos (although I have moved up to the architectural series at least).

to make a wish on the first star I see at night.

to pick the marshmallow bits out of the Lucky Charms cereal and eat those first.

to need a teacher/sensei/mentor.

to think a trip to the museum and an ice cream (sugar cone please) afterwards is a great first date.

to need a spanking (but old enough to enjoy it) :giggle:

to take a risk.

to take Flintstone vitamins instead of the "grownup" kind.

to believe in the impracticality of romance as defined by others.

to believe in love.

Ride a wheely on my bicycle ( works better when you have a banana seat though)

I can give you a run for your money on the air hockey table!! And...a-hem...I am the rubber band shooting queen at work!! Always be on the lookout....oh yea....you can keep and enjoy your burnt toast though!

I am still young enough to get momentarily bummed out when I don't get what I want - to clarify, in this case it was a tattoo that I had an appointment for today which got turned into a consult with my appointment on tuesday.

• Play practical jokes on people I love
• Get into water balloon and snowball fights
• Dance in public places where dancing normally would not take place i.e. the frozen food aisle of the grocery store
• Enjoy the playground, amusement parks, water parks, carnivals, fairs, etc
• Climb trees (and tall femmes)
• Play video games (Ahhh, Atari... I miss you!)
• Amuse myself for hours just bouncing a ball against a wall
• Play sports (might take me a few seconds longer to get up from a tackle than the 20-somethings, but I've still got it.)

... and still young enough to think I may one day find love again-- or have it find me.

Heal thy self!

I can sit here and whine about the aches and pains of arthritis or I can take an active role in stretching out these weary joints. Did it last night finally and felt amazingly well in the legs today... :)

I am young enough to make mistakes and learn from them!

I am still young enough to buy a kids meal for lunch! LOL no it isn't for the toy. I just think the portion size and "healthier choices" in a lot of the kids menu meals are better suited for me UNLESS I am splurging.

I am still young enough to wait in line ALL DAY to see a movie on opening night and to get the snack pack with the collectors item.

I am still young enough to have sleepovers, even though I haven't had one in years.

Ride my bike safely, swim, and go for long walks or do yard work with my partner. We also enjoy a healthy sex life too. And, we stay young at heart by developing our ability to empathize and set healthy boundaries. Our motto is: motion is lotion. :)
