For years this was on my list. Now i'm not so sure. For years of working online my fingers cant take it.

Although I have ridden horses I want to learn how to properly ride. I think this spring I'll take lessons.

Finally be able to speak up to my parents and be able to talk to them.

I am sure I will add more...but this is okay for now

This sounds awesome. Always drink wine along the way. :)

Ha yea it is, I am pretty sure since I am part french that is why I enjoy wine so much. I watched this movie with Russel Crowe in it about how his grandpa or someone passed away, and he owned a winery. I loved that movie! I wish I could think of the name it...

I will say that I've been fortunate to cover a lot of really cool sporting events in my career, things that a lot of people would love to see/do.
I've covered an Olympics, Super Bowl and BCS National championhip game. I've covered major college football, the NHL, minor league baseball and hockey, major league baseball and the NFL.
I still have dreams of covering a World Series game, the Masters and the Kentucky Derby.

Time to do it, girlfriend!!!!

Check out these four guys: hella bucket list
I know it's four 20-something guys, but they busted their butts to put stuff together and do things long before they started getting folks like MTV behn them, and I respect that.

As for my bucket list:
* Learn to surf
* Backpack across Europe as if I were a college student.
* Own/ride a Harley.
* Have my erotica published.
* Start a line of queer romance books.
* Visit Ireland.
* Learn to play the guitar
* Drive I-10 from St. Augustine to Los Angeles, then go back on Route 66, then write a book about queer America along those paths.
* I want to scuba dive the Great Barrier Reef.
* I want to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail.
* I want to go white water rafting in Colorado.

That's for starters.

Boots13 01-27-2010 05:04 PM

I look forward to sitting on the porch with my beloved, recounting our days.
Now THAT will be a most satisfying check on the ol bucket list !

I'd like to know that I was a positive influence in the world.

I'd like to know that what I do makes a pronounced and positive difference in my community.

I work toward that daily and hope that what I do will culminate in a massive check-mark on my bucket list of deliberate and intentional living.

I'd like to own a diner with home cooked food and daily specials. With a diet menu, aka portions. And a hungry man menu. A family place, a hang out. Of course I'd like the adjoining building to be a bar with the bar food type menu.

Lynn 01-29-2010 04:15 PM

I keep coming back to this. There are lots of things I'd love to do, but nothing that I feel I *must* do before I die. When I came out, I vowed to try to live as fully and authentically as possible every day. For now, I get a lot of pleasure enjoying doing things with my partner and my kids. I hope we are able to visit some places together. I love to see the world through their eyes. My partner, especially, hasn't been to many places, nor have I, really. I hope to have the money and time to visit places in the US and throughout the world. The pleasure isn't just in seeing the sights, but seeing them with others and enjoying their enjoyment. And, in the end, I just hope to know that I lived simply, honestly, and loved as much as I could. My ideal future has a picture, also, of sitting on the porch with the one I love, just savoring the sunset together. Is that corny? It doesn't mean I don't want adventure, but I don't seek adrenaline for its own sake.

not corny

In my 51 years I have learned that the greatest joys come from the most simple things.

I think what you want is beautiful. I want this more than anything... to spend each day with the one I love savoring all the moments in life.

I'm going to be 50 this year, so I find myself getting all kinds of pensive and nostalgic. And a little bit nutty, too.

lol- I haven't figured the horse part out yet. I was thinking about taking lessons then letting them help me pick a horse then train me with that horse.

wow what a cool list. I want to learn spanish because I want to take trips to Panama and Costa Rica.

The tire swing and barefoot definitely down for. I hate shoes.

When I learn to ride I'll go with you to Ireland.

Get yourself an RV, park at on the farm and you can have as many herb gardens as you want. Of course Farmer J will put you to work! Better you than me! lol
