Yes :)

They can just private message me the name of who they want it to go to and we can manually change it :)

Just FYI:
I have been on the phone so many times with GoDaddy in the last few days that I know the number and prompt codes by heart.

Aside from wanting to sell us a dedicated server (for THIS amount of traffic? I dont fucking think so), they never take responsibility for the server being janky. One tech even tried to tell me that the "the server has dropped the connection" messages were because we needed to update the password on our hosting account. After I got through laughing, I asked for a supervisor and explained that we will no longer be needing their services and will be transferring our account.

Im DONE with GoDaddy. :)

Linus and I will begin the process for changing servers in the next couple of weeks.

Also, as a side note, the one-year of fees that we pre-paid to GoDaddy WILL be refunded to us so the site wont be out any money. We will, however, have to pay hosting fees for 2 different companies for about a month while we transfer everything.
I've never transferred a server so this will be a new experience for me (but then again, I'd never built a website until 6 months ago either and that didnt stop me)

Hang in there folks, faster days are coming :)

Awww Dusa, I'm so sorry that it's been such a hassle! Sheesh. Glad you knew what to do, darlin!

Waldo 12-29-2009 02:01 PM

Dusa have you picked a new hosting provider yet?

At this moment I have no plans but I may go out for a bit for trivia and brews. You can also email me. I know it's all retro and crap, but it works. Happy to give you my insight and/or make recommendations.

Okay can we PLEASE find a way to ignore/block someone right from their profile or that little dropdown that comes when you click someone's name?

By the time I figure out where the damn hell the ignore list is in my CP I have already forgotten how to spell their username OR who I was trying to block in the first place and I get in trouble if I don't put people on ignore.

I've found a mod that will do that. I'll send it off to the Admin to add. :)

It's MEEEEEEEEE, isn't it??? :bigcry:

On another note, when the site is slower (the past couple of days especially), and I click on the Thanks button or click to Rep someone....it doesn't always pull it up. Sometimes it just will not let me do it, even if I pop out of the thread and pop back in to give another try. It's not something that is high priority, of course, but I wonder if that is happening to anyone else?

Would these work?

ADELE!

Hrmm... that'd be hard to find. I don't know if we could find one for every disability.

Adele, if you know a symbol that represents something let me know and I'll see what I can do to make it a smiley/emoticon.

Is there a size limit to images that we can post on the site?

You can have up to 12 per post.

620 x 280 in pixel size.

20KB (roughly).

Note: this is separate from what the gallery image sizes are.

Got it, I just don't wanna overrun the site server

:cheesy: LOL.. you won't do that. The forum will stop you once you hit the limit. You'll be told that the file is too big. So you can try and over run to your heart's content. It should stop you before you get too enthusiastic ;)
