Sadly, that did not work. I made sure the connections were tight and everything's vacuumed and clean and put back together right...after one misplacement. Ooops.

But still no speakers. :(

Did you see if XP detects the speakers? Does sound come out of the basic computer speaker? What about headset?

I will check this tonight and also see if the speakers work on another computer as well.

Hi, I have a question ....

If I say no to a friend request, what do they see on their end? Does it show up on their page in big bold letters as a "no way" or what?

If you say no to a request, the other user will not receive notification about it.

Uploading pics..320 X 190 or about that size

Reunion Picture Gallery said it ..uploaded. no show
Reload to My Gallery said it uploaded.no show
Did it again, looked at last day uploads .said it uploaded. no show.

Hrmm.. We'll take a look into it. Have you logged out, cleared any cookies and tried again? (Am thinking that the recent recovery may have info from between the original backup and recovery and its not liking that)

Hmmmmm...just a head's up. A couple of times yesterday, I got that "database error" page. Then again last evening late.
Just a few min. ago, I was reading a thread, and got mysteriously "logged off" and had to sign in again. I got that database error page.
When I was able to log back in, there are just a handful of folks online..like maybe 10 or so......
Thanks...I know last time we had these "hiccups" it was prodromal to the site being down a bit...:(.
Not sure if it is of importance but I use Internet Explorer...

Me too. I didn't mention it before because I thought the issues were on my end (my internet has been moody of late....)

When using Chrome, each time I refresh a page on
Facebook I am getting this error message:

Error: SECURITY_ERR: DOM exception 18

Once I click OK it clears and brings up the page.

I was syrupy slow at home but now that Im at work behind a firewall, Im fast as lightning.

Will investigate the speed issue...

Wondering if someone could direct me to where I can find info on imbedding a Vimeo video?

I can get the code string, I just don't know where to put it.

Unfortunately, the piece we have that automatically adds youtube doesn't work with vimeo and the one that was supposed to automatically turn video links into video is borked.

Hi, I meant to clean out my visitor messages (love them all but getting really big), and got 28 pages of "this message deleted by guihong", over and over. How do I get rid of that? Thanks!

Well, I did a little experiment to see if those messages could be deleted. They can but it meant hand deleting all 28 pages of messages. I went ahead and deleted them all but if you have started an avalanche of folks wanting theirs deleted too, I will be forced to drag you on stage with me at the next Reunion for an impromptu Zumba demonstration to the tune of "Shake Your Bom Bom": :)

For the curious, I checked guihong's profile right after she posted that and I didnt see anything but a blank visitor page telling me she had no messages - so when someone deletes visitor message from their page and sees "this message deleted by blahblah" on their visitor page, it may be a bit annoying, but dont worry - the rest of us just see a blank page. :winky:
