Okay, so this morning I met up with a long-standing friend who was visiting London for the weekend.

She is currently going through a divorce and has re-entered the dating game for the first time in over a decade. She shared some recent dating horror stories but remains confident that she will find another partner soon as, in her words, "it's destiny and you make your own destiny in life". Maybe it's just me but I couldn't really understand it but, to be fair, she did explain it much better than I have been able to.

However, as all other attempts have failed, I've also decided to abdicate responsibility for my romantic affairs and rather trust my romantic future in the hands of destiny.

Therefore, the second next person who posts on this thread is the person that destiny has ruled I'm meant to be partnered with for the rest of my life (or until I grow bored - whichever comes earlier). Just sayin'.
