I woke up just a few minutes ago and when I opened my bedroom door to go use the facilities, both pups came running up to me and the birds started squawking up a storm.
It just makes me happy that my fur and feather babies love me, well the pups do and maybe one bird. That other one was prob cussing me out and making threats of eating my eyeballs. lol there is a reason her name is Medusa.
I love when my day starts like this, most mornings I have to creep through the house because I'm up and out by 2am.

Speaking of horses did you watch the Derby & the Preakness? I was hoping Creative Cause would take the Derby (I always bet on the gray). He's a beauty.

Usually what I do if my horse does not win then I root for whoever did for the Preakness & the Belmont. I do believe I'll Have Another will win the Belmont and give us a long overdue Triple Crown.

I'm trying not to count the hours to the weekend when I might see him again and hoping he can have a little time free from work.

I'm trying not to think about getting on a plane on the 8th. I'm excited for the trip but terrified of the plane ride.

And I'm wondering where I might find a white cotton slip.

How my current roommate is gonna take the news that we are moving out. He's been an ass, locks the door to the bathroom so we can't get in, locks the AC unit so we have no control over it, is rude, and I won't have to run into him in the flesh again. :/. Lol i'm so glad to be getting out of here and into my own place but most importantly space!

Just having patience where it's needed right now.

It's hard for me to figure out who to root for if I'm watching it on tv. Unless they show the parade. Then I can watch the horses move and I usually pick a favorite based on that. It's like horse porn for me. :sunglass:


I SOOOOOOOO hope he does win. He moves well and his jockey lets him lead. Which always give a horse a leg up over those whose jockey's try to force the issue. I would love to see a triple crown. LOVE IT!!!!

when did I become a recluse? I went to visit another consignment shop today. On my way there, I stared at the stores, the restaurants, the movie theaters, etc (I was a passenger in the car) and wondered why I stopped going out in the world. I know initially it was because I had no money. But after getting on SSDI, even tho things are tight, I havent re-entered the world.

I need to work on this...

reading a thread I totally missed last month has me in such deep thought. Im not sure what all is going on in me but I was so humbled by the posts im kinda speechless and just love this community for being so fierce and willing to put themselves out there

In 1982 I enlisted in the United States Army at 17 years old. There was nothing that I loved better than being a soldier. The starch of my uniform, boots so shiny that I could see my smile in them, mud and rain and tears and pain and pride. In this world I only love God and my family more.

While I admit my enlistment initially was simply a means of getting away from here and the oppressive tyranny of my parents household, it became something much bigger than me almost immediately.

As I walked the grounds of Yorktown, Gettysburg, Appomattox, Dachau, Berlin, and so many other places where Americans fell and fought for, I knew I was honored more than I deserved. Because of them. This isn't Veteran's Day. Don't thank me. I didn't do shit. I put on a uniform and showed up to work every day. Today is the day for them. Those that gave all.

You know when you think you know someone, I mean, really think you know them... But you realize that you knew nothing and I mean NOTHING about them, really is like taking a knife to the heart...
Then you find out that what you assumed, is not even close to it. Now mind you, only friends, but a friend I thought close to, that I worried about...
Then you go and die, and leave me with so many unanswered questions that I will never get an answer too! That sucks, I hate holding onto answers that can't be answered, I still don't know how to let those go and now it will be a arrow protruding out my side. I will never feel right about this. :seeingstars: ~Sigh~ I just feel weird, way to weird
