I can’t make this happen. I promise I tried my best and I’m super disappointed because I love my projects. I just had some bad circumstances being stranded with no car or ride. I sincerely apologize to everyone. I’ll put myself on the naughty list.

Isn’t there that one week grace period?

I’ve always been a fan of the one week Grace.

I am also a fan of the one week grace period! Sometimes shit happens that nobody can control, like broken cars and hurricanes. I am all for grace in the face of the uncontrollable!

If no one cares about the timing in regards to receiving their complete packages, it seems cruel to throw 5 of the 9 participants on the naughty list if the projects don't show up tomorrow. I'll just throw a little something extra in the packages of those who got theirs to me early to even things out a bit. Our candy_coated creator is close enough to me that if she mails her package tomorrow, I should have it by Tuesday, and everyone else's that might be late will probably be here by then as well. What if I push the deadline back to Tuesday, November 15th? That will delay me getting things together and getting them back out to you all as well so then my deadline would be Saturday, November 19th to get them mailed back out. Some will reach you in time for the Day of Gluttony but not all. Everyone okay with that? |

What would it take for us to consider reinstating it, both for this project and going forward? |

Obv I'm in favor of the new dates that Gemme put forth. Totally okay with me to wait a bit longer. |
I sent my package from the post office and it was supposed to get there tomorrow. However, I just now tried tracking it and this was the message the USPS website gave me:
"Information Available Soon USPS doesn't yet have a status update on this item shipped from the Post Office. Information is usually updated within the hour of your visit. Please check back soon." Now I am really worried. Hopefully it is just a delay, and it isn't lost. |
I am completely fine with waiting for everyone to get their stuff in.
Georgia Ma'am, the last time I got that message on usps tracking the package showed up the next day. I think things are still moving, but not always getting updated on the tracking. I have faith it'll get there! Also, I wanted to tell you how glad I am that you're back. You were missed while you were away. |
I sent mine regular mail, like inside a card dropped in a mailbox 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
|
I can get to the post office today and get them out! Thank you everyone for understanding and thank you Gemme for moving the deadline!!!
|
Sent this morning by priority mail, expected arrival Monday.

Hi everyone. I changed my BFP password but then had trouble logging back in. It took awhile for things to get sorted out. Wasn't able to get things resolved until today so looks like I'm missing out this time. Dang. However I did purchase postage and handling stamps before everything got messed up and I can send those. Please PM and let me know where to mail them and I'll get those out as promised. Thanks

Hi Gemme, I tried to send you a private message and it says your inbox is full. I wanted to make sure that Max put our return address on the package, or do you need me to message it to you?
|

Ha! Yes, I have your address. You are good to go! The projects will go out Saturday morning and you all are going to LOVE the variety and thoughtfulness included in this round, especially since we had such a quick turnaround. |
UPDATE ON ME....
Mailed mine then 3 hours later was admitted to hospital.
SEVERE headaches for 3 weeks, Hurricane Nicole, AND a week hospital stay, with surgery....and I delivered!!!! Am good...just got home late this evening, have a nice 3 inch incision on my head!!! Sexy at best my wife says.....:) |
Quote:
think you delivered in the hospital. Was it a boy or a girl? :jester: |

It was "octennials"......(see what I did there? :)....) |
I already let the folks know whose numbers I have but all of your packages are on their merry way to you now. Sadly, cricket was the first to send a package to me but will be the last to receive one back. Move closer? Most will be delivered before the holiday.
I wanted to say that this was super fun and, dare I say, very needed. It's been ages since we've done a project and I would love to do more if others are up for it too. Let's take back the craft and make 2023 a creative year! There was a loose glitter project so I bagged those up when I sent them out. If you are glitter phobic, open carefully! It is absolutely stunning, though. Oh, also....for the future wranglers, I would suggest an increase in minimum postage to $7 or $10. Most of the packages I sent were over $5 even though they were relatively light and flat and I didn't send them expeditiously. If anyone has issues receiving their goodies, I have tracking numbers. I just know you all are going to go bananas over everyone's work. We're such a diverse group and our brains all clearly run on different tracks but, damn, I love the station they all wind up at. Happy merry everything, crafty kin! |
Gemme, thank you SO MUCH for running this. Would it help if I sent more $ to cover more of your shipping costs? I would love to do another one of these. It was the first time I'd played with my craft stuff in a long time, and I forgot not just how much I enjoy it, but how much I need to do stuff like this. It really feeds my heart and soul to be up to my elbows in paint and glue and pretty paper, making things. Having the excuse of sending it to this community, that has been a source of joy, support, community, and comfort for so long makes it even better. Count me in on the next one. Maybe a spring/summer theme?
|
Gemme.....thank YOU so much for making this a "thing". Dayum, I MISSED US!
I am considering wrangling next one......let me have some time for my head to heal up more, get my med regimen stable, and pontificate on themes. I kind of, sort of, perhaps, have an idea or 3! NOTHING to start til POST Turkey Day & Santa Claus. (on my part). Let me say, I was so going to add $7 as we know from multiple experiences, postage is always more, even when we do flats. I PROPOSE, we do NOT do any projects with big embellishes for that reason It is just NOT feasible, I have/did stand in line, trying to pay extra, a LOT EXTRA, once before or twice. Just my professional (right, ??!!) opine...what say ye, crafty peeps....:) Quote:

(Off topic: I cannot WAIT to get our projects! I got a package with no return address today that was flat and the right size, and I thought, "Wow, that was quick!" I was so disappointed when I opened it and found a pair of earrings - even though I really do want the earrings, but I could have waited a little longer for those. :| ) |

I'm looking forward to the next one as well. Quote:
I agree that it would be good to do something after the holidays but if you are willing and able, please don't wait too long to offer an idea. We've got the bug again and I know my fingers aren't the only ones wanting to tinker in my crafty bits. Quote:
It'll come in a standard 6x9 manila envelope that says HANDLE WITH CARE and has washi tape on it. Every package has a different design for the washi tape. No earrings but that would be an interesting project would it not? |
No, sweetheart, I was only meaning for projects I wrangle.......not ad infinite....by all means, I LOVE to embellish, and if folks want to pay that extra, I wholly support it. Sometimes my brain goes into overdrive, and I am not clear (except as mud) lol.....thanks for making me aware of it...:). Big love...

I got my projects!!!! I won’t say anything except they are STUNNING! Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart.
If mine was the project with loose glitter: I apologize because I thought I sealed the shit out of it. I will stop it with the glitter in the future. |

The loose glitter wasn't a deal breaker for me but I know that some are highly allergic to it so that's why I bagged those projects. They can still be enjoyed whether they are in or out of the baggies.
|
Gemme, your box is still full! :giggle:
I took pics of everything I sent except for the extra flower one that I sent for you. Can you please snap a pic of it and send it to me? I can send you my email or phone number to get it, once you clear out some space in your box. Thanks! :bunchflowers: Also, I am SOOOO excited to get my package!! I know it's going to take a hot minute to get all the way over to the west coast, but I want it to HURRY HURRY. I cannot wait to see what you all made. |
Package Day
Acccchhhhooooooooooo......aaaaaccchhhhooooo.....:) Ohhhhhh my, what a beautiful & very much appreciated (as I recoup from surgery last week). You peoples iz highly talented!!! I LOVE each one...have held them, loved them, & gazed adoringly at them!!!! Anyone who used glitter, it was well sealed on mine....much appreciated!!! GREAT JOB everyone!!!! Tis all I shall say... ETA: GLITTER.......I am the culprit of getting that "being allergic to glitter" tale.....LMAO Once in a project, mine had 1million particles of glitter, that flittered all over me, the rug, etc....so I began that as a joke & IT STUCK (see what I did there.... |

I’m so excited this group has a project! I had wanted to sign up for it, but I had eye surgery, followed by a two week bout of RSV. I hope to get involved in the next project.

Wow. Got my package today and what a lovely surprise. Filled with colorful and creative goodies—and just for me. I so appreciate the effort you all put into this.
Sending a heartfelt thank you to everyone for the gifts. |
Thank you!
