You'd know I would always be there for you...

if you really knew me...

you would know i don't tolerate game playing
you would know my favorite flower
you would know my favorite color
you would know i don't trust easily
you would know how to push me away and succeed at it
you would know how much i love and adore my granddaughters
you would know that ill fight for women's rights as much as queer rights
you would know i believe in socialism, yes i say that proudly
you would know my deepest hurts and happiest moments
you would know my heart

If you reall knew me then you would know that I'm one of the good ones.

if you really knew me you would know...

...i've done my best to grieve my parents' deaths but it feels like my life is defined by before my parents died and after they died (partly because i lost so much of my family afterward). sometimes it feels like the apocalypse happened and this is, like, the post-apocalyptic world. it's hard to remember what life was like before.
...i love easily but it's hard for me to trust people.
...i love people :) and life. i'm optimistic and smiling most of the time, even when things are hard. not because i'm idealistic or because i don't know what tragedy and pain are like, but just because that's who i am.

if you really knew me you would know:
 

I dont feel like I am in my 50's emotionally. I feel like I am in my 30s.

I dont feel like I am in my 50s physically. I feel like I am in my 70s.

I am still a go getter and have done just about everything I ever wanted to do in life, except the balloon ride. That still needs to happen

I am not afraid to take risks. I also know when not to take them now. LOL. Seasoned with age....

I cook a fine meal and bake even better

I love my friends and family dearly

I love comic books. Not graphic novels. Old fashioned comic books. Richie Rich. Hot Stuff. Casper.

I collect horse nick nacks

I like ears and am amazed at how we totally ignore them!

Then you'd know that I have a kind soul.

If you *really* knew me...

You would know that I absolutely love my job, and I feel like the luckiest person in the world to be doing what I am doing.

You would know that I am really insecure about myself

You would know that I am genuine and sincere

You would know that I love my animals like I gave birth to them and know they are my life.

You would know that I sing randomly and often

You would know I always make a different face when I am putting on make up or looking into a mirror (not sure why??)

That I love my wifey/partner/daddy/babe with all my heart.

~ I am a very protective mama bear when my kids are involved; this extends to Riley ;)

~ I love thunderstorms

~ I prefer small tokens as opposed to huge gestures; I do love huge gestures but not all the time.

~ The way to make me smile is through complimenting me; yes, I am vain like that. I think I get this from growing up in the shadow of my step-sister who was considered the beauty.

~ There are often times that I really do not go to work at the club. Sometimes I truly, truly, truly do not want to go. At this time, I hear the lyrics to "Meet Virginia" by Train.

Well, she wants to be the queen

Then, I start gettting ready to go and find the routine to be soothing and I feel a lot better.

If you really knew me you would know that I love looking at pictures of Femmes in their little black dress. I think black is a hot color on women. :)

if you really knew me then you would know that life right now is seemingly hard or complicated no matter which way I turn......

if you really knew me then you would know that it totally sucks being single right now......

if you really knew me you would know how totally disheartened I feel right about now knowing that some people have a visual in their heads about who it is they want and they totally over look another because if that vision.

If you really knew me you would know that when i get quiet and stare off in space i am thinking of something i can fix or make easer for you or i am going to buy you something you desperatley need.

If you really knew me, you would know how sensitive I am and how easily I cry at things of beauty such as fireworks.
