Chad, you make losing one's temper sound similar to losing one's tuke. Temper is emotion, and emotions must be controlled and dispensed sparingly.

Saying:
A gentleman never takes the first blow in a confrontation.

A former romantic interest in my life, who owned horses, used to say, "There's Nothing Like A Swift Kick Up Side The Head." He wasn't much for mincing words.
