spending the afternoon w my niece, helping her organize her house. I love being close to family.
trimming branches off my trees and getting the weeds out of my yard. It feels good to see such a nice yard and know its mine cleaning closets at my house and sending some things to family, others to good will...knowing it will help where I send it ice cream...espresso chip ice cream. Oh man! |

What brought me joy...
While eating lunch at a local deli today, I noticed a young woman in her 20's with one of the most beautiful smiles I have ever seen. She sat down at the table across from me, and I smiled as I saw her be-boppin' in her seat at the 80's music playing throughout the deli. As she got up to leave, she glanced my way and I smiled at her. She said to me, "I hope you have a great day gorgeous." It's not very often that you see such random happiness in a stranger... and it's contagious! |
My joy for today is knowing that I no longer have to wait for the other show to drop, I can finally move on and find proper joy :-)

I had a good time out tonight with My best str8 female friend, had dinner then I dragged her shopping with Me to Wally World (Wal-Mart, Wally Mart etc). Its always nice to see her and hang out with her, we don't get to very often cuz she works full time and has lots of family commitments but I cherish the time we have together!

I got my dually back today! OMG...I love my truck! She rides like a big old belgian mare...smooth ride but oh so much power ...

clean air
It rained last night and cooled things off around here. But what brought me joy, was sitting on the patio, and the outdoor rustic country aromatic smell of nature , from the wet trees, in the forest that my yard backs up to. It smelled just like it did at my fav. aunt's house out in the country, when I was a kid. When I was about 7 yrs old I spent a summer with her, some of my fav. memories were made that summer. My love and appreciation for the outdoors, and nature, were cemented that summer. And my fantasies of owning a ranch with lots of acres and a big barn, were created from my adventures that summer. It's amazing how some smells take you back, the memories seem so vivd, such a happy time, just put me in a great mood!!!
