LOL OK seriously, i understand. I have asked the same question many times. I am in no hurry to get married and plan retirement. I want to be able to court a girl. Not rush into the bedroom on the first night. I want to be able to learn about her, what are her wants and dreams, whats her favorite movie or book. Has she ever just gazed into the stars and wondered if there was something more out there? Will the answer be in this lifetime? Which really did come first, the chicken or the egg? And what would her one personal item be in her Zombie Bug out Bag?

Somewhere along this path called life, we will each find someone. I think it is being patient and weeding out those who do not fit into the mold is key to finding the one that will.

Just my spuratic thoughts.

You have me at Bug out Bag <3

I know I don't know either of you from a bar of soap, but MickMan and Sugarnspice - Chattanooga is about halfway yes?

Mr Nice Guy 06-29-2012 07:46 AM

Hey Kiwi, trying to play matchmaker? Good for you!! I do that too. Heck I'm better at matching people then being matched. Lol

Julien 06-29-2012 07:55 AM

Single and looking to be crushed on or to crush. I think that at least one could be a possibility. Hey that could be another thread. :sunglass:

Hiya! I hope everyone has a great weekend! :rrose:

MickMan 06-30-2012 05:52 AM

What a crazy night.

So, I hear a "Mick, come here look at this" and I go running to moms room. There is water pouring out of the A/C vent. Now this is a new unit only a month old. I go up in the attic and there is water everywhere! Probably about 3-4 gallons of standing water under the intake box and pools of water elsewhere. I call the company and they tell me they can come out tomorrow about 11 am. I asked what I was supposed to do with my elderly mother in 98 degree temp. I get no reply. I kind of understand not wanting to work at 7pm, but if you do a job and it is not done properly, I think you should come fix it ASAP. Especially when it can be life threatening such as heat stroke for mom. Just saying.

I I get a window AC and install that and set up fans to keep the house quasi cool. We will see?!?

Mr Nice Guy 06-30-2012 06:00 AM

Hey Mick, just do what my Mom does. She puts two fans in windows at night downstairs and two upstairs. Runs them all night to get the house cool. Then when she wakes up she takes the fans out and closes windows and shades. I'm amazed at how cool the house is without ac. She calls it, "The poor mans AC"

Yeah, for those up north that works well. Here in the south where is gets in triple digits, does not fair so well. I have tried! But, after they fix this damn thing, I am considering going old school with window units. This one small unit has cooled the majority of the house. They use much less electricity and cool just as well. I am still in thinking mode. We will see.

Mr Nice Guy 06-30-2012 06:56 AM

I would get an AC but my Mom would charge my bil up to the 100's. So I'll wait til I live alone. :)

I thought your mom was moving out?

Mr Nice Guy 06-30-2012 07:39 AM

She is when her name gets selected. She's on a housing list and section 8 list too.

Julien 06-30-2012 09:43 AM

Interesting weekend. Central AC goes out for the second time(only 3 weeks old), AC repair guy cancels on Sat, I buy window ac to install, had to take it back because it was used!!, bought second ac unit. Had to install the unit and a second smaller one for the bedrooms. Finally, Sun rools around and i go to make mom dinner and dumbass me grabs a hot pan and get second degree burns on 3 of my fingers. Spend 3 hours soaking hand in ice water and then standing in front of the ac unit to stop the pain... i am so glad it is Monday!!!

Breezy 07-02-2012 08:37 AM

Poor Mick! *hugs* Nope didn't touch the burned hand. Hugs for everyone!

It is beautiful in the city today! Gonna be another scorcher and it's all good by me. Work is fabulous. My boss is a doll. I am blessed beyond all imaginable and we secured a living facility for Mama when she needs it. It is one of the best in the country. She won't be far from my brother's house, couple miles, and we can go in whenever we want to visit. We can also bring her home to visit. She doesn't have to go for months, thank goodness, unless there is a drastic change. So it is an all around fantastic beginning to my week!

Julien 07-02-2012 11:34 AM

Good afternoon to one and all on this hot summer's day. Well at least it is here in the deep South. I hope your day is going well and you have exciting plans going for the week of July 4th. I'm playing it by ear and seeing what each day brings. Hello to Beloved and Breezy I see you out there floating around the threads. :flowers::pile:

Hey Mick, sorry your in pain. Hopefully your doing better.

*** Too single for this heat. ;)

MickMan 07-02-2012 05:28 PM

Thanks everyone. Its a lot better today. I went online after many hours of feeling like there was a blow torch on my fingers and found a homeopathic remedy. You wrap your fingers in foil. I know it sounds crazy. But it worked. I foiled my fingers and after about 15 minutes of unbearable pain, it suddenly went away. I cannot explain it, but it worked!

Oh and no alien signals either! LOL

Mr Nice Guy 07-02-2012 06:00 PM

Well that's a good thing. I got a burn like that on my Harley I had. It hurt for days and I had to walk with it.

That made me remember many years ago when I got my first bike I was like 16 and was feeling all cool. I had squatted down showing off my knowledge of the engine to this girl and I slipped and out of reflex I grabs what was in front of me which happened to be the exhaust pipe coming from the engine LOL can you say sizzle!!!

OK I feel like a pig. 3 chili dogs and lemon pie Ugggg I am glad it was at least fat free LOL

Mr Nice Guy 07-02-2012 06:17 PM

Mine was driving bike to turn it around in driveway and hit wet grass and Bam! Bike over and me underneath wearing shorts. That nice hot pipe kissed my leg. That hurt as much as your fingers. I've done some stupid stuff to impress girls. Heck I think I still would. I'm a show off. Lol
