Spending the day with mom

Eating out with her at "Cheddars" and having a good ole fashion hamburger...it's been awhile.

Cleaning out my desk and getting it all organized at last.

Sunshine and cool purple sunglasses.

Getting out my Sandals!!!!! It's almost time!!!!!

My old shredder died a while ago, so a bunch of stuff piled up until I found the shredder I wanted today. And then I shredded.

Shredding is rather cathartic.

We're using a shredding service at work now, so the shredder has temporarily come home with me. I offered to buy it off of the office, but the boss wants to keep it around. So, I asked if I could 'borrow' it for a while. Luckily, boss isn't too concerned with it, as my borrowation could last for a while.

:stillheart: shredding!

Two handsome butches, a picnic of crusty bread, mozzarella, tomato, olive oil, cold sparkling lemonade ending with apple tarts and rock salt chocolate.

Balenciaga OMG the clothes were beautiful, amazing and lovely. The hand beading and embroidery perfection. Balenciaga, Spanish designer, taught and employed Givenchey and Oscar de la Renta in Paris...his major competition Dior.
The silk/linen suits were amazing. It made my "I want." go ballistic.

The Olmec exhibit was profound. The colossal heads so amazing that you could not help but feel the vibrations of the "ballgame". Considered the “mother culture” of Mesoamerica and recognized as America’s oldest civilization, probably the first civilization to have a written language in the Western Hemisphere, recognized the value of "0" zero and made amazing art...carved jade axeheads and the carved obsidian work is so beautiful.

reconnecting-

on friday with pumbaa and quinn, [basenji] dogs i've known as friends through a former /steady dog sitting account. they were very rascally sighthounds; now, mellowed seniors, i'm so happy to be seeing the boys [and fantastic parents!]. it's been ten years since i've seen the dogs, but much less for their hoomans.

smiling..
closing doors, opening new ones, and still standing.
contemplating a decision to move up the mountain into Hendersonville, maybe Chimney Rock, somewhere around there anyways.
currently looking at places, hotels for a new job, etc... seeing what's out there.
i've always ran away up into those mountains for renewal of spirit,
so it's damn fitting that there is where the next chapter could begin.
another bonus besides the stunning scenery, is that its only 45 minutes from my family.
smiling..
because for a while now, i wasn't sure i was gonna make it out intact, in fact, somedays, i'm still not sure.
but this is a fine start.
:)
