2 out of 3 isn't bad, I've not heard of Dice Man.

Señor Vivo and the Coca Lords (and actually the book that comes before and after, while you're at it)

His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman

Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison

Are all among my top 10 (I'm counting the trilogies as a single tome)

:)

Give me three authors you admire

Shakespeare's tragedies
The Odyssey-Homer
Any of the "difficult" Russian novels-War and Peace, Anna Karenina, or (probably my favorite book of all time)-Crime and Punishment.

I'll ask the same question!

Please give me three movies you want to see this summer.

The Angriest Man in Brooklyn.
World War Z (even though I didn't like the book- apparently the film is quite different)
Ways to Live Forever

I'm going to reuse your question. I'm always interested in knowing what's out there.

Please give me three movies you want to see this summer.

I'm going to go see Man of Steel (tonight) and like you, I want to see The Angriest Man in Brooklyn and wwZ - when these films make it to the west coast.
Please give me three books you've read lately and tell us which of the three you'd recommend or if there's a book that's better left for another to read.

42 - I owed my BF this one, having dragged him to see the appalling movie version of Les Mis, which even I (a theatre geek) found painful and unnecessary. :| So, '42' is a really enjoyable and moving biopic about Jackie Robinson. I was pleasantly surprised by the film.

The Great Gatsby - it was beautifully made, gorgeous costumes and spot-on art direction but otherwise really disappointing. I really liked the music as well, but playing with the musical genres was about as conceptual as the film got. Not Baz Luhrmann's finest hour. It also reminded me that I really disliked the book, there are no redeemable characters.

Silver Linings Playbook - I loved it! I thought it was absurd and painful and touching. I thought it was very well written and well acted. I particularly loved Jacki Weaver's performance as the foil to the over-the-top crazy. I thought the whole cast was fantastic.

Give me three movies you hope to NEVER see again

The Harold & Kumar Christmas movie - someone forced me to watch this. Worst. Movie. EVER.
The Cove - good movie, but I never want to see those scenes again
Napoleon Dynamite - first time in my life I felt old, I actually caught myself thinking "I just don't get the kids these days" LOL

*Laughter!

*Good emotional health: someone that has done, and continues to do, their "work"; someone who is self-aware, and the capacity both to communicate and listen.

*Easiness. I'm not always easy (shocking, right? ;) ). I'm impatient, anxious about outcomes and I like things a certain way, my own special ways. I've learned that my partner needs to have an 'easiness' about them that allows them to be adaptable and unflappable.

That's a good one...and again

Give me three things you can't live without in a partner.
