I am the woman of myth and bullshit.
(True. I authored some of it.)
I built my house of ill repute.
Brick by brick. Labored,
loved and masoned it.

I live like so.

You just get the vibes of your surroundings and it rubs off on you. ~~Gordon Lightfoot

I`m a little nuts. I`m a lot nuts. All I know is that in the midst of the madness of this world it`s my therapy. The music touches my heartstrings. ~~ Gordon Lightfoot

Turning back the pages of my sweet shattered dream, I wonder if she'll ever do the same; And the thing that I call living is just being satisfied With knowing I've got no one left to blame. ~~ Gordon Lightfoot

"It is not ideas that change the world but simple gestures of love given to the people around you, and often to those you feel most at odds with. In order to save the world you must serve the people in your life. In the end, it is the reality of personal relationship that saves everything."
- Thomas Merton

D. H. Lawrence Assorted Articles
Beauty is an experience, nothing else. It is not a fixed pattern or an arrangement of features. It is something felt, a glow or a communicated sense of fineness. What ails us is that our sense of beauty is so bruised and blunted, we miss all the best.

Khalil Gibran, (1883 - 1931)
Beauty is not in the face;
beauty is a light in the heart.

"I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day." ~Elwyn Brooks White

"Life is like a blanket too short. You pull it up and your toes rebel, you yank it down and shivers meander about your shoulder; but cheerful folks manage to draw their knees up and pass a very comfortable night." ~Marion Howard

A smile starts on the lips,
A grin spreads to the eyes,
A chuckle comes from the belly;
But a good laugh bursts forth from the soul,
Overflows, and bubbles all around.

"Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?' Expediency asks the question, 'Is it politic?' And Vanity comes along and asks the question, 'Is it popular?' But Conscience asks the question 'Is it right?' And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must do it because Conscience tells him it is right." ~ Martin Luther King

How can a woman be expected to be happy with someone who insists on treating her as if she were a perfectly normal human being.

In the long run, it's not a question of whether they deserve to be forgiven. You're not forgiving them for their sake. You're doing it for yourself. For your own health and well-being, forgiveness is simply the most energy-efficient option. It frees you from the incredibly toxic, debilitating drain of holding a grudge. Don't let these people live rent free in your head. If they hurt you before, why let them keep doing it year after year in your mind? It's not worth it but it takes heart effort to stop it. You can muster that heart power to forgive them as a way of looking out for yourself. It's one thing you can be totally selfish about. ~~Doc Childre and Howard Martin, The HeartMath Solution

If we practice and eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, soon the whole world will be blind and toothless. ~~ Mahatma Gandhi

When you hold resentment toward another, you are bound to that person or condition by an emotional link that is stronger than steel. Forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link and get free.~~Catherine Ponder
