Remember when....

it was a great joy to get to the drive-in early because they had a little playground you could hang out at and a snack bar if your parents had a few extra coins to grab something on the way back to the car while you watched animated cups and hotdogs dancing on the screen.

The ice cream man had one of these to make change! i wanted one!!!

... and the games we played on them. dodge ball. waffle ball. that big parachute. and those lil wheel carts we would race on. :)

went to purchase a new cellphone today smartphone and we were reminiscing about the older ones. lol I told them I used to have the LG Chocolate and I still have the LG one that slides up to use the keyboard and the sales person said, "Bring it in next time I want to see it!" I said, "Blast from the past." hehe.

Anyone remember Saturday afternoons wearing these? Birthday Parties at the roller rink were a must!!!!

We still have two of these in my area and they have (other than prices) stayed true to form. Everyone shows up an hour or two early, trying to get a good parking spot and the field in front of the screen is filled with people playing catch, hula hooping, etc. while they wait for the movies to start. Old school snack bar with fries, burgers, shakes, and candy. It's so much fun!
