It is snowing. Before Halloween. Like, snowstorm snowing. Like being in the middle of a snow globe with a feisty toddler shaking the Hell out of it.

Dense fog tonight, ice on the highways, snow on Mt Hood and Cascade passes from here to the coast. Low: 32 Daytime high tomorrow: Not sure. It got up to 48 degrees today. |
It's beautiful outside here. It's 61*F and sunny. I really want to go outside, and I might have to find a way to go downstairs and outside today. I could sit on the porch swing for awhile. It's just getting back up the stairs that will be hard, but I know I can do it.

It was cool, crisp, clear, but still sunny and warm enough out today to turn off the heat and slide the patio door open a bit to air the place out. I'll have to kick on the heat soon but it looks like it's going to be a gorgeous sunset.

Our first dusting of snow, looks nice and it will be gone in a couple of warm up days this week but it does look pretty.

Windy
The sound of the wind outside woke me this morning. Was worried a tree branch might come through my bedroom window. Never heard it this loud.
The Santa Ana winds are really roaring this morning. Hoping everyone is safe and protected. |
Same here, wild winds! Still tearing it up today, things flying around, woke up to to text warnings about fire evacuations (not too close), red flags and possible power outages. I do like standing out in it though, warm air.
Whenever this happens the yard gets a serious back-combing, good thing tomorrow is yard clean up day! |
Yesterday, a bomb snowstorm hit. Or a nor'easter. Whatever you want to call it, it got us. Tons of rain followed by snow followed by rain, et cetera and so on and so forth. Lots of people without power, trees down, roads closed and it didn't take long before I heard the sirens either.
Tonight, it's calmer with black ice on the ground, a chill in the air (30 degrees w/ wind chill of 22) and all of the constellations in the sky. It's absolutely beautiful out there now. |
It's 67*F and sunny and beautiful right now. I have to go outside today.

I finally made it as far as the front door. I sat with the front door open, enjoying the light breeze and wind chimes. I couldn't make myself go down the steps to get to the porch swing, but I will do that another day. I enjoyed watching the outdoors from my kitchen chair. It was 68*F and sunny.

we have terrible weather, right now. Rain, rain, sleet-ish rain. It took a long time to get home. 25 mph traffic. Lots of accidents. Major roads at a stand still. So neighborhood drive is how I made it back home. Thank heavens no one hit me in traffic. Scary. (lol or not).
It might go as low as 37 tonight. It's not much warmer during daylight. |
Another day in Paradise. Easy breezy, temps in the low to mid 70's.
I saw and heard a woodpecker on a palm tree trunk. Now I see a bunch of holes, I know he will be back! |

It's pouring rain and has been for the past few hours. Winds are expected to increase as the day progresses with possibilities of power outages! Temps should reach the low 50's. |
