Today I lit a candle at home and prayed for all of you
May the journey we take to help others and ourselves be blessed |
This candle is lit for Nat's father, for cody's brother.. and for anyone that may be in the dark.. that needs some light so that they can better find their path..

Today would have been my oldest child, Melody Claire's 30th birthday.
I was in labor this same time, 30 years ago....she was killed in a car accident on Sept. 27th, 1996, 4 weeks to the day following her 16th birthday. So really, this whole next month is understandably difficult. I ask that You light a candle for her sister (my youngest child), Erin Parker and me. We have a rough time of it..... Last night, I was watching the Emmy's....and Jewel sang this song for those actors who'd passed this last year. Today, I light a candle for gratitude. Just a simple word, thanks.
For Dolo, who feels well and lives in the moment. Thank you. For waking up this morning without back pain. I cannot even recall the last time that happened. Thank you. For someone that I care about who has 6 days free of cigarettes. Her strength is phenomenal! Thank you. For the words and Wisdom of Spirit Dancer, and her postings of spirituality. She always seems to be in my head, posting just what I need to read and reflect upon. Thank you. For my friends of many colors, many identifications. Thank you. For the gift of awareness of my kindredness to all of creation, and the sometimes undeserved unconditional love of the critters that live with me. Thank you. For life and for the material things necessary for living. For the daily laughter, Thank you. I am really blessed. And did nothing, no thing, to deserve or earn it. My life is a gift. |

This candle is lit for all those that need to find faith and hope. The flame keeps that faith and hope alive and burning. It lights the way to a better place for all.. in physical, mental, spiritual, emotional growth and well being. We focus on the glow and realize there is no better place than where we are. That we will all persevere and come out on the other side better for it. Never let go. Hang on and stay strong. Remember we all have faith and hope.
