IFYRKM I like sites like this one and others mainly because I get to be exposed to people I might never had the chance too and because I am secretly a vampire I get to meet a lot of people not form the U.S. and other late night inhabitants.

IFYRKM you would know I am in my home state of IL for now. I love the mountains of NH, the beaches of southern Mass., the out of the way towns of RI, the tall cactus in the Phoenix dessert, and seeing Amish buggies parked in an IN Walmart parking lot. The warmth of the gulf on the western side of FL, and although the drive on the Sky Way into IL is beautiful at night I hate driving on the loop.

IFYRKM you would know how much I love the outdoors and all it has to offer, except the awful humidity here.

I am an open book if you want to know the truth about me just ask I will answer honestly whether I consider it one of my faults or one of my positive attributes

That I love deeply but have only been IN love three times

That none of those relationships lasted badly it was just the wrong place and time for both of us and they would agree

That I am a loyal friend that would give you the shirt off my back, defend you to everyone, and protect you from all pain if you would allow

That my words have no string to them...just because I say something it does NOT mean I am wanting or needing something in return.

If you really knew me then you'd know that I'm always honest. I'd rather hurt someone with the truth then hurt them with a lie.

If you're a raging liberal, you'll do just fine. If you're not, prepare to defend your postion well. They're liberals in some of the most conservative areas of the country. You'd get my dry sense of humor, and you'd know I only tease people I like.

If you really knew me, you'd know how hard it is for me to forgive, yet so incredibly easy to write someone off.

If you really knew me, the two things I struggle with often are lack of patience and having a bit of a temper.

If you really knew me, I'm always ready to bail on someone, but only because I'm afraid of getting hurt.

If you really knew me, you'd know how much I crave intimacy, and long for a healthy relationship. But because I get scared and have a tendency to sabotage things, I don't know how realistic of me to even hope for that.

This is so introspective, I really liked reading it.

If you really knew me you would know that I take care of those that I care about.

If you really knew me, you'd know:

• that I have a turkey baster in my office, and I recycle the water from the dish under my plants, back into their soil. This makes a sound like I am in gastrointestinal distress; but I swear, it is the turkey baster :|
  
  
• that there are eight elevator banks in the lobby of my office building, and I like to stand with my eyes closed, seeing if I can guess which elevator is on its way to me—I love that quiet whooshing sound :hk6:
  
  
• that twice this week, men have given me their seat on the subway, and this morning, a man stood holding open the elevator door, though I was way on the other side of the lobby, walking toward it (f)
  
  
• that I sometimes fantasize it is a handsome butch performing these acts of kindness, which snap me out of the spaciness that helps me float unbothered through the rude experience of day-to-day public transportation :olive:
  
  
• that I listen to movie soundtracks at work while I write, and my favorites are composed by John Barry, like the theme song from Last of the Mohicans—and I don't care how schmaltzy the soundtracks are, they chill me out and let me think :coffee:
  
  
• that I am so excited about the Reunion, I go back to the threads on it over and over, trying to figure who is going, and what they are like, and how it will feel to be in that hotel, in that city, with that crowd.:blueheels:
