Not much going on at my place today, other than maybe do a very small load of laundry. My mother and I usually visit by phone on Sunday's, so I will enjoy our visit this afternoon. If the clouds move on and the sun comes out, I'll bask in the sunshine.... and, delve into finishing up a really good book, come later this evening. I may even bake some cookies.

I have my first vacation day from work since December.

I will be spending the day at the tattoo parlor and then meeting girlfriends for margaritas after.

There are many worse ways I could spend a day.

I go to work later this afternoon but I don't mind because I had a good day off yesterday. And hey, we gotta work for a living, right? It could be worse. :hangloose::hangloose::hangloose:

The only thing I've accomplished thus far is the last thing..

My daughter picked me up for breakfast and we've been doing stuff since then. But I'm happy for time with her...as ever

I want to get my car driveable! Yesterday I took it in and had the wheel bearings done. Drove it around, all was well until I went on the freeway..and the wheels started smoking

brought it back to the mechanic, who said the master cylinder was blown because the wheel bearings had gotten too hot. So it had to be changed..as well as the brake pads that were fried. (I was not charged for the pads)

god..when I break a car, I really break a car...

so when I pick it up, I have to drive it around to see if its finally fixed. Would be nice!! Lets hope I get this accomplished!

went to home depot to get a few 6 inch handle/grips and installed them both sides of wall at toilet. My dad needs help getting up off toilet and is falling more.Also bought a new cordless drill.....its VERY nice.... my ole Makita lasted 13 years.

i LOVE Makita tools! my fave is the flashlight with the tilt head. .

I have had a week from hell and some of it: self-inflicted.

I went to bed @ midnight and woke up @ 9:09 AM. I can't remember when I last slept that late.

Right now, I am lying on the couch it's 12 noon, I am not dressed and am watching The Amazing Race.

This may be the highlight of my day.

In a new place I ask neighbors, coworkers, local folks, firemen, and policemen to recommend a good automotive repair shop. Some folks have good luck with yelp.
I agree with NavyButch for a fast brake job you can use a chain store also consider Brake Check. Be careful and don't let anyone take advantage of you. Please feel free to contact me if you have any automotive repair questions.

This is my weekend to work. :jester: I'm baking some chicken for my spouse for her supper tonight, mashed potatoes, green beans. She warms it in microwave later and has a tray on her walker to carry it back to the bedroom to eat it in bed. We have one of those craftmatic adjustable beds to keep her more comfortable since she's in bed a lot.
I'm also doing laundry, tidying up and have to run to vet to pick up dog's seizure meds.:hangloose:

Clean and move the fish tank - Done
Do some shopping- which will entail about 3 stores I think
A visit with a couple members of My fam
Finish paperwork to renew My passport
Take the garbage out and break down some boxes to recycle
Hopefully after all of this- some relaxation tonight

finish up the laundry...worked on it for 5 hours yesterday and still have more to do! Never again will I wait 3 weeks!

pick up grand daughter. She is staying the night again. We are taking her out to see and ride her pony, Tull.

Bake chicken and clean up the kitchen. I am trying to organize my cupboards and everything is scattered across the counters while I attempt this!

Not a thing, except be lazy and shower for dinner later!

Saturday stuff:

Wash the car and get gas
Drop off and pick up blouses from the dry cleaners (they iron, I do not any more)
Go to Trader Joes

Already washed the kitchen and bathroom floors, will dust and vacuum when I get home.

Accomplished everything on this list- except I did not make it to the pet store to get some more fish. (that was 1 of the 3 stores). But, I think I might do it tomorrow- or I just might chill and relax- which sounds like a good plan.

I had to postpone my trip, so I have time to finish.

Also got laundry done and hung and dried and folded...and cleaned my entire house.

went to my nephews wash state power lifting competition and 8 hours later he won the 242 lb class......and he is going to college the eastern part of state to be a firefighter.

Very poud Auntie moment! This was Wash state High School powerlifting competition!

Just lounge around and relax all day! I need it and supper is in the crockpot since 8 am, so by the time my bff gets here at 5pm it should be near done. It's pouring rain and the kind of day to just relax.:hangloose:

I was up and out early for a fundraiser 5k run/walk that was super cold and rainy. So... I did that - check.

That added an agenda item of getting home into warm dry clothes and flopping under a blanket for an hour.

Now time for errands. Later driving my kid around to and from work.

Intention is to add in some time under the blanket again with a book.
