I feel a wee bit tender. I had a chunk of metal fly off and leave a 3 inch gash in my leg today. It bled and bled and bled. I'm so glad I wore my boots today, otherwise it would have been worse.

Gayandgray 04-27-2018 04:05 PM

I’m ok I guess. Have not felt real happy in a long time. I dunno..... I guess I’m just “here”.

Not to be a worry wart, but keep an eye on that! Have it checked out if the tenderness lingers!
Don't be like me and wait 6 weeks to have someone take a look at your injury:seeingstars:

Chained Daisy 04-27-2018 06:01 PM

Muddled up, I woke very early, too early, then I fell asleep about lunchtime and slept well into the afternoon, it threw me out for the rest of the day, I`m off to bed now but I doubt I`ll feel sleepy

Feeling

I am so happy to be home with the kitties.

It was another 60 hour work week and I am exhausted but the kitties make it all better.

We can't begin to put into words our excitement!! We'll be looking to arrange for the installation of an in-ground pool for the back yard, too! Once we get situated into the new home.

I just love, love LOVE ❤️ the smell of new construction!!!! Woot!!!!

Home sweet home. :winky:

Gemme, have you had a DPT shot in the past 5 years? If not,
might wanna check with your doc :mobilewheelchair::nurseshot:

Discombobulated. I took a nap at a very weird idea and the whole rest of the night has been thrown off.

Better, but not a good as I thought I’d feel by now. I’ve lost 10 lbs of the 30 pound goal I set, but I thought my knees would feel better than they do. I guess that was an unrealistic expectation. I’ll just keep trying to lose more weight because the loss will help with the recovery after the knee surgery.

Maybe I’ll start exercising today. Maybe not.

Well done you Orema, those knees may not feel much better but still less stress on them. My sympathies, I know how knee problems can impact your life, its not easy.

Thank you, Chained Daisy, and you’re right ... Also, it is a little better. All I have to do is pick up a 10 lb bag of potatoes to remind me. :) Thanks again for the well wishes (f).

Good job my friend! However, IF you have "bone on bone" such as I do, the cartilage is totally gone, no amount of weight loss will ease that pain of bone grinding on bone.....or at least in my case. Total knee helped me the most!

I was in process of having other one scheduled to get done when I am found to be extremely anemic..SO I have to correct that first!! :(. 10 weeks of IV Iron infusions!

10 is a good start! I'm just slightly over that but far behind in my 44 by 44 goal, so that's not going to happen. The only thing that helped my knees is glucosamine. I take it twice a day and my knees feel tons better. Maybe it could help in between now and surgery?

I feel good today as I tend to do on days off. lol I've been out and about and half eaten a wee bit too much for lunch, so I am a little sluggish now but will work on some house organization in a little bit.

My knees hurt, my back hurts lets just say I'm hurting!

Thanks, Clay, and good luck with the anemia. Yes, I have bone on bone :(

Thanks, Gemme! Years ago (10 to 12 years) I tried glucosamine and it didn't help much, but my condition has changed. I think I'll try it again. Thanks for the suggestion.

Initially, I didn't notice much of a difference. It does take a couple of weeks to really get into your system. Also, I had to increase the amount I took. I tried 1000 mg at first but now that I'm taking it twice a day for a total of 2000 mg, it seems to be working for me. At one point, I was taking 3000 mg but I don't know the medical ramifications of that dosage. My knees were really bad then but as soon as things got better and they weren't as overworked, I lowered the dosage.

I don't have bone on bone but I know it was really uncomfortable for me, so I can only imagine how rough it is for you. I hope it does help some.

Very tired after a very eventful, fun weekend.
Still worried we might tip this dang camper. (My sister is a knucklehead for parking it like it's a boat listing to one side)
My needs are met, belly full, spirit very content, soul is confident, and my mind is refreshing some old "notes" I should compare. Very happy with my new Jet 3 Ultra... It helped me enjoy my weekend.

Wish I could sleep for a week.

Kätzchen 04-30-2018 09:48 AM

As ready as I can possibly be for my day.
Steady as an rock. :hk28:
