Surprise cards and hugs from students...even some tears. For most...its only 8 weeks!

Vanilla cotton candy! Imagine that, and I don't even like cotton candy. :)

What brought me joy today...

Hearing my honey squeal in delight about her new golf clubs. She's so excited she asked if we could go hit a few balls after work today.... and then sweetened the deal offering to go to the drive thru daquiri hut first for me :)

Wrapping his birthday present in silly, vintage wrapping paper.

A simple pressed flower in a letter.

Inspiration! The most wonderful gift someone can give another. I am inspired and chock full of gratitude.

Arriving home, almost immediately slipping out of my business suit and into my PJ's, saying "happy to see my babies " and cuddle time, watching my oldest pup pick up each of his stuffed froggies (all 5) and very gently, gingerly place them inside his bedroom crate then nudge them as if to check they are okay, then curl up in his little nest as if he's happy to be home, coming home to find my yard had been mowed by the respectful young man that works for my landlord (he even fixed my mower!!) , ...joy in knowing I don't need to travel until Tuesday ....and joy in being able to relax and take my Nyquil. Happy to be home....

Oh yeah... almost forgot ... much joy all week getting to know my newest coworker and feeling stress lifted from my shoulders as I learn more about my new boss and the awesome team all of us will make! It sure feels different not to hate my job.

Joy in hearing from Gramma D and how clear minded she sounds.

Joy in feeling myself lifted from crisis mode, and into proactive mode.

Joy in counting my blessings ...

Intelligent yet fun conversation, its nice sometimes to have a simple talk with someone :)

Calling to my neighbor's mourning doves...and having the whole lot fly over to me, and then getting to hand-feed them. :present:

Putting the past to rest, knowing that its okay to move on and being able to do so ........... feels good to know it can and is happening :)

Walking into my favorite barber shop in town and having a new-to-me barber clean up a previously shoddy job done at another shop out of town. Then having my actual barber walk in to see me sitting in another's chair and ask if I was cheating on her...lol.

Yes at this shop there are three women barbers... I flippin' love the place!!

I walked out with a slick cut... as always... and walked with a gy grin the rest of the day!! :cheesy:

I got promoted to Program Manager today. Can't tell anyone yet cuz it hasn't been announced. Shhh....

Congrats Dee!! I got a promotion too but it works a little differently in the navy.. I made E-5, Petty Officer Second Class :) but i wont get it for a little while.. It has to be presented to me by my higher ups :) but I'm still excited!!
