Watched Sherlock Holmes on PBS... Talked to some friends....Will catch a movie. Still not quite back to normal.

Watching a little tv now and then, getting laundry done and getting the house set up for the Superbowl party tomorrow. Basically a pretty quiet evening.

i normally have pretty quiet weekends, but this is more quiet than usual. My car isn't working, and i am stranded (sort of) about an hour and a half from home (near where i work). i am in a motel. i am fine. Lying here watching Run Silent, Run Deep. i have an appt to get it fixed Monday. But i'd rather be home in my lovely house with my lovely cats. i also am missing an evening hanging out with a friend and a coffee conversation with a planet person (was looking forward to meeting her). Sigh.

Oh well. i will get a lot of work done.

After getting pissed at my washing machine and string of bad luck....I enjoyed a lovely evening with friends at a local coffee shop, enjoyed very much being treated to the best vanilla latte and hot apple cider, was so happy to see a certain friend (who's been ill) in such good spirits, relaxed from all my pent up stress, completely enjoyed company and conversation with a close friend, shared my new puppy and watched all their smiles...she lights up their faces, sat outside with the group till my feet froze.. but time with friends is good for the heart and a wonderful distraction ....

baking muffins and thinking about the freaking sink being full of dishes again. but...tonight I will pretend to be picking up the sitter and heading out for a quiet night away with my love (or sort of quiet).

Clothes in the washer, chocolate cake in the oven, black bean burgers firming in the frig...later a night out with my honey. Life is good!

I'm staying in tonight.....I've had two nights out this week and have had a blast. I did some socializing already locally and noticed there's a band playing at the local bar, but I don't know if I dare walk in there alone. If it's a country band, I'd like to brush up my two-step but..... don't know the local bar flies.

sooo im sitting around in my truck .. gonna head to bed soon .. 4 30am comes early , will be driving most the day making my way thru part of NY , and into Pa should land in Pitts burgers for monday morning.
