Well...again.....I can't say that I'm surprised. I mean really......Lee's first release is a COVER? And a boring one at that.
And I really believe that Crystal will shoot up like a rocket now! Lee will fade into the night, like the dozens of voices who have before him....who sounded just like him. Trust me. I'm a professional....... :D |
I agree Diva. How many runner ups hit charts? Maybe thats how its rigged. I can't imagine its actually votes. Night and day.

I believe that Lee had the teen vote where Crystal did not. She had the older [Janis Joplin base] vote.....and probably not enough of us watch AI. When I voted [3 times] I had no problem getting through, and it was immediately after the show was over. Odd.
So, as I said before, even though she 'lost' the "title", it's no big deal, because in the long run, it will be Crystal who gets the 'tiara' [recording success]. She's got the talent and the quirk factor. Anyone notice that David Cook and Adam Lambert weren't in the Formers Line~up? |

I'm disappointed that Crystal didn't win. I thought Lee was good, but Crystal was great, IMHO. That said, I knew she wouldn't get it. As Diva said, her appeal is to a different audience. I don't think it's rigged, but I would like to see the voting process changed a bit. On "America's Got Talent," there are limits to the number of times you can vote from the same phone or by the same method. I think that would even it out a bit, and be more of a reflection of the actual support vs who has the stamina to stay up until midnight, hitting the redial button.

This is the best possible outcome. Lee needs the structure that the record company will give him. He's still growing and coming out of his shell.
Crystal doesn't need any handling, really. She's ready to go now. Being 'runner up' means she'll have a little more freedom in terms of producing her music. I enjoy both of them immensely. I did, however, fear that Paula was tipping the pills again. Weird. |
