My day was filled with reasons for Happiness...
getting all my paperwork done and mailed. Happiness is, relief that job is done. Feeling a sense of accomplishment.
Meeting Friends for dinner even though it was pouring down rain. Getting news my oldest niece has once again hit the A-B Honor Roll (which is a huge turn around from 2 years ago). Having hope and making plans to attend her graduation next year. Finally finding the perfect setting/necklace "glass memory locket" for my cut emerald that also has a small silver Tree Of Life (2 of my favorite things in one) On my way home, the pouring rain had almost stopped (had been worried about flooding). When I got home, it was fun being so happy and excited to put together my locket and see how the emerald sparkles. I very rarely wear any jewelry unless it really means something. Now... time for some of my favorite, local :wine: (I can't wait until next week when the local, SWEET, pick-your-own Strawberries are ready!! |
Happiness is....feeling better after my doctor appointment/ new meds kicked in.
Happiness is...renting 2 movies I've been waiting on for a long time...and enjoy a special treat of Angel food cake with fresh strawberries and vanilla yogurt. (Yogurt helps to take steroids but it sure is yummy with berries and cake) |

Reading the Random thoughts, sharing, and ideas of strangers. Laughing out loud, and feeling my gut clench. Happiness is simply realism. |
Happiness....sharing sushi in the truck as a snack. Using my finger to smear wasabi on the pieces, oh what fun!

Happiness is on my front porch enjoying the gentle evening breeze. The sound of it, the feel of it. What hearing the sweet birds does to me every time. The voices of a thousand crickets joining the discussion. Seeing diamond stars against the backdrop of a clear black sky.
My God; it's all so sensual. I have lived my life in a state of acute blindness. No more. And, as it turns out, there was a very satisfactory 3rd alternative. Who knew? I chose to compromise this evening instead of trying to conquer myself. Is there nothing that Nature cannot fix? But I'll be back... :pirate-steer: lol |
