We were very lucky over here on this side of the state....no cicadas. But, man oh man they sucked over there. Them things had no manners and would just fly up your nose or any oriface they could fine :|

OMG those cicadas would dive bomb Me when I would turn the pressure washer on ! They would swarm around the car ! :seeingstars:I was ok til one would land on My face , then it kinda freaked Me out ! lol

I know!!!! They have no manners!!!!! They did me that way too. And omg they had to be the ugliest things in the world on top of that.

I'm so glad they are gone...for now anyway.

When I lived in Jackson those cicadas lived all in the trees around my house. I don't recall getting dive bombed per se, but they were ugly.

Good morning from Knoxville everyone!

So I'm in the new house in Powell/Halls. I've found that if I leave about 5 minutes after 7 I miss all 4 school zones I have to drive thru as I move down Emory Rd. If I'm just 5 minutes late, it takes me an extra 15 minutes to get to work. I mapped out a faster way, but haven't explored it yet.

Good morning all, I hope the weekend is a good one...I dont work tomorrow so it's all good for me...well cept I would rather be in TN or TN could be here which ever :sparklyheart:......on the Cicada subject ours are much larger than yours but yours make up for the size by being down right crazy and aggressive....I'll take big ol ugly staying where they belong to anything flying at me and getting in my hair.... :eek:[I][/I]

Totally! Bugs in my hair freak me OUT!

I am going to try to rest and work on apart this weekend. Last weekend at reunin was insanity and next weekend is Hallowwnie! Yeay!

Butttt....tonight I am gonna play Beatles Rock band and go to a Haunted House I think.

I will be hanging out here at home this weekend. I have a research paper due on Tuesday (subject: Influence of Motown on American Culture). There may be a nap or two in there somewhere (LOL)

The weather today in Knoxville was just perfect!!!!!

Crisp in the morning and fall sunshine this afternoon. The leaves are just breathtaking!!!!!

I'm just cleaning house.

I'm thinking I enjoy vacuuming hard wood floors better than carpet.

*Edit to add: As I feared, its also pulled the latent obsessive compulsive out of me. The one that hates to walk across a hard wood floor and feel stuff on my feet.

I pulled the carpet up in the livingroom and next is the rest of the house , still have to stain and clear , but I like the hard wood floors better :) I like running the vac over the hard woods floors Myself :)

Is anyone watching the game? Tennessee is holding their own. It's 6 to 6 start of 3rd quarter. It's on ESPN 2. Didn't know i even had that channel...lol

but, it's Alabama so chances are...
