I've been away from The Planet for a very long time... but I'm back, and figured this was as good a place as any to reintroduce myself. I used to be known as "gothfemmedyke" here... not sure why I ever changed it.

I'm 40, live in the way, way, far North Coast of California, in the redwoods. (the Emerald Triangle, for those in the know). I have only recently moved back to CA from NY. I would love to make some new friends, and I don't mind driving to meet up. I do a lot of traveling... everywhere... but its no thing for me to make a spontaneous road trip to the SF bay area or PDX.

I do not work, so my schedule is of my own making... I am a completely free bird and I do what I want, when I want.

I'm really just looking to fill my life up with amazing adventures and memories, but really don't want to do all the things by myself. its so much better to look back on an epic adventure, and have someone to share those stories with. Presently looking for those interested in dance lessons... hot tubs, or hot springs... exploring/hiking new locations I haven't been to... camping adventures... live music and theatre... trying new and exotic foods... and people who just like to hang out, laugh, and generally have a good time in each others company.

So... You wanna play?

I had a great time with Babygirl. I found a nice park on the river and we've been taking a weekly walk there.

Welcome to Tucker and Gothy. I spent last weekend sleeping and getting ready to attend a friend's cookout on Saturday in Orlando. I am trying to make a trip to Ikea and visit my former co-workers at Starbucks!

One of my co-worker's from the nursing home gave me a beautiful China hutch. Since I'm under the weather, I have been setting it up. Depending on how I feel, I might go to the movies.

I was thinking resently about the positive aspects of being single. Here is a starter list;

The house is always as clean as I left it in the morning.

That last piece of food that I was looking forward to is still in the fridge.

I decide what I do everyday with no compromise.

I've never really been not single, I'm not a people person, my brain isn't wired that way.

idk I would like to not be single at some point but it will never work out.

I'll be book clubbing tonight, shopping with my daughter tomorrow, and mini-road tripping on Sunday.

Also trying to see if I can sneak in a consultation for a new tattoo I'm plotting.

It has been freakishly warm out the past two days and I'm probably going to be a little sad when it's around freezing again on Sunday.

Another Saturday night and.....wait...that's another thread. What's going on in the singles world tonight? I'm going to try and make myself go out tonight. We shall see.

Congrats or condolences. I'm never sure which to offer in this situation.

I requested this past weekend off. Saturday, I went to my former manager's house warming party in Orlando. It was a fun time! I'm out looking for a job closer to home. My current employer is cutting our hours due to the negative reviews.

Completely random thought. Sort of. Telling someone that you love them should never be said lightly or taken lightly, in my opinion. And, if you love that person, why don't you fight for them?

I am thrilled that it is Friday....

So it's another Saturday night....I'm laying in bed and trying to stay awake. It's been an emotional last two days. Thursday, I was suspended from my job due to me standing up for a resident. I won't allow a resident to verbally abused; that will get your ass kicked by me. Friday, a friend of mine got me a job with her. It pays $12 an hour plus bonuses and it's seven miles closer to my house. Tomorrow, I will be going to take a friend's dog up to see her at the rehab facility.

Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear about your job, and why you were suspended. I'm really glad to hear you found something so quickly and that it has some perks.

I'm waiting for the golden hour when I can go pick my daughter up from the theater so I can go to bed. She is watching Wicked and I'm too happy for her to be cranky about being out so late when I'm dead on my feet.

I'm still running around, just staying busy! I'm loving my new job. I have someone who is interested in me and they are ten years older than me. I'm afraid to let my heart get hurt again, so I keep telling this person that I just want to be friends. Not sure how to handle this situation.
