A night with friends
 

Seems like the universe has truly been blessing me with time with friends...both new & seasoned ones.....I am truly blessed to be loved this much by so many.....<doing the very blessed guy dance>.....LOL

I was really moved this evening when a friend broke down in front of me and cried. It touched me to be trusted by someone so emotionally guarded.

I also had a bowl of homemade mac & cheese and got to wear my new coat today. Life is good!

So much joy today...

Trick or Treating with the lil bits
Waking to cloudy skies
Running in the light rain
My cup of Mocha
Sitting here on the patio to my bedroom and reflecting on decisions both good and bad and owning them
Special and amazing folks in my life
My father who talks to me so loudly from Heaven so I always know he is there
My mother is who can see past my smile and knows when something is wrong..love that woman

...could go on and on but you get the picture

You can be found anywhere if you are looking for it. Some of the greatest joy in life comes in the darkness

Driving around the wine country of Naramata BC

I will be looking for a retreat to call my own in this area. Perfect home for a writer/artist.

I left the curtains open last night (I'm on the 9th floor, no privacy issues there), so I could see the sky first thing when I woke up.

And there it was.

I woke up thinking about the sweetest memory . I am pretty lucky to be me. I love the life I have carved out for myself.

My friend's knowing my passion for football. Got tickets to tonights game in San Diego, and Amtrak tickets so we don't have to drive in crazy freeway traffic for hours.

1/2 day at work and then.

My pups. As much as I complain about them they are so darn cute!!!

What brought me joy...an amazing day filled with cardio fun. Insanity workout then zumba and a jog = one very happy and exhausted woman

My power came back on tonight!!!!

My 14 yo daughter has never had an official swim lesson, except maybe a few at the community center. Other than that, she is entirely self taught.

Just for shits and giggles, she decided to try out for her high school swim team. Tonight was the tryout, and Coach came over to talk to me. She told me Holls had a great physique for swimming and lots of raw potential. She just didn't know any techniques, breathing or turns, and that kept her too slow. However, if she could pick up some private lessons between now and when the team has to be finalized and shave off 15 seconds (!) from her time, she's on the team! In fact, the coach spoke of turning her into a diver next season.

Private lessons means $, but if this is her passion (and she's always swimming), and wants to do the work, I will support her. You just never know what can happen in 2020 ;).

I'm joyful that Obama won! Otherwise we'd have to start stockpiling canned goods for the impending zombie apocalypse!
