Bates Motel

I was so behind on Bates Motel and have now binged my way to the end of season 4 on Netflix. I'm extremely picky which few shows I invest in and this is now one of my favorites of all time. I rarely follow modern shows. So heartbreaking, but also a real treat for those who love creepy + vintage. So well done. And I am in love with the soundtrack of the 4th season as well as with the relationship of Alex and Norma. I will really miss this show.

Not a movie but it is Netflix.

I just got ridiculously happy to find another season added to:

The Great British Baking Show!

I love this show even though I sit here in wonder (and a bit of jealously) and say: "That is amazing! How do they do that?!"

"Glenn is an English teacher in 6th form. He lives in Exeter with his husband Robb and their dog..."

love it!

The Best Offer & When Calls the Heart

http://i68.tinypic.com/2n1c7y0.jpg

I was loving this movie (eye candy for vintage & art lovers), which has a very unique relationship type that I can relate with, until the crazy ending.

I also recently got hooked on When Calls the Heart (Little House on the Prarie-esque), which I was pleased to find out is developed by Michael Landon's son.

The Great Gilly Hopkins..........

I don't have any TV at home, but I'm going over to you-know-who's house tomorrow. Could you recommend one movie you think would be a good movie to watch, on Netflix???? (Please & Thank you, homoe).

Well as luck would have it, I just happen to be working on a list of Netflix and HBO movies so...............Bessie, Accountant, ,Cadillac Records, Grandma, Corina Corina, and especially Music Of The Heart or the new series on Netflix Gypsy would be some good choices.

Perhaps others can recommend something as well?

Ozark

I've been watching the original Netflix series called, Ozark, starring Jason Bateman, in the series' leading role. Wow, it's pretty good..So, I won't say much about it, but if you liked HBO'S Sopranos, then you'll like this series. I'm on episode no. 5, and each episode has its own brand of scariness, it's fairly intense. Thanks for posting about this show, homoe!

I have started Wentworth again. I tried once before and couldn't get into it, but everyone is so into it so I decided to give it another shot. It's taken me a little while, but I'm starting to get into it.

Also, putting Ozark in my queue!

I watched a good documentary on Netflix called
'The Truth About Alcohol'.
I liked it because they were coming from a scientific evidence-based perspective, rather than a moralistic, agenda- based viewpoint. 📈📉

I am SO PISSED that they cancelled Gypsy.......I thought it was an interesting premise and something never done before!

homoe 08-23-2017 07:56 AM

I watched 5 to 7 again........interesting little movie :movieguy:

An aspiring novelist enters into a relationship with a woman, though there's just one catch: She's married, and the couple can only meet between the hours of 5 and 7 each evening.

Sidebar:The informal expression le cinq à sept refers to what could be considered a very French version of Happy Hour: the two-hour period after work, from 5 to 7 pm, when (some) people meet up with their lovers before going home to their spouses. Translation: an afternoon tryst.

homoe 08-25-2017 06:14 PM

The Invisable Guest stars: Mario Casas, Ana Wagener, Jose Coronado

A young businessman faces a lawyer trying to prove his innocence by the assassination of his lover.

Vincent N Roxxy.......stars: Emile Hirsch, Zoë Kravitz, Zoey Deutch
