A phone call from my youngest brother, whom I have not talked to, for five years.

Spent the first 4 hours of the morning in a scene from doggie ER. Thought for sure Smudge had a intestinal blockage. He had been puking since early Saturday morning. First X-rays showed some suspicious action and possible object in his stomach, but 30 min later 2nd X-rays showed gas moving, no visible blockages but his stomach was still inflamed. He's not out of the woods yet, but he came home with us with meds and fluid. He can try to eat around 8 tonight, and if he keeps it down, he should be ok. We have been laying in bed since we got home and I have been snuggling him. He still has no energy, but he snuck a few licks of water out of brother's water bowl and didn't barf. Things are looking up!

guy: really? are you kidding me?
girl: she use to be but now she's had a kid and is older.
guy yeh? that's life. that's what naturally happens. and it's just as beautiful.

Oh damn was I ever so proud of this kid when I heard him speak these words. He's a rapper. He writes his own songs and plays his own music. I swear he sounds like a young Eminem...

I recently set my fish tank back up and last night added fish. It was funny watching my dog Mia in all her curiosity and wonder as she watched the fish swimming around. She was so cute.
