I was at a medical conference today on Health Disparities.
It was such fun to email with a Femme friend during it--made me smile ia inappropriate times!

I'm sure the lecturer thought I was an idiot!

72 degrees...sun blaring...slight humidity...outside getting some work done and soaking up this gorgeous day with a nice glass of cucumber water PURE BLISS

~ watching all the construction starting to take place ~ the season is about to begin :) ~

Thought I was putting down my ferret this afternoon, but the vet suggested we try a deslorelin implant to alleviate his adrenal symptoms. So, we did. We will see how it goes. I'm glad he is coming home :)

that 3 hour long nap!

Seeing that same flamboyant teen at the local coffee place again! He wasn't dancing this time but he remembered me and gave me a big hug.

My new boots just came and they are sexy! I now hope the weather gets chilly again so I don't have to wait til next season to wear them

Making my sister laugh tonight until she cried, more than once, on her birthday.Getting her favorite coffee and making her a whole French press full before I went to work. Getting to tell her happy birthday and tell her that I love her. And her giving me a kiss on the cheek and a " muah" she said. I didn't see her on her birthday last year. I am very grateful for her and for who she is. I am lucky that she is my sister.

Life in general is good and that brings me tons of joy.

A form of pillow talk. It's comforting tonight.

Realizing just how blessed I am to have three awesome young-adult kids who are so willing to share their lives with me.

LOL so glad thier older brother still acts all innoscent with his "MMMRRRAAAWWWWRRRR dinasour love" texts to me!! ;)

Remembering encouraging words from a friend regarding what I had to do to get to the next point.

The idea of getting another tie and making something out of the damaged one.

If felt good to love on my kitchen today.
It was a gorgeous sunny breezy day so I opened all the windows, tied up the curtains and aired out the kitchen and dining room

I cleaned the cupboards, lemon and salted my cutting board. sharpened my knives, seasoned some new cast iron, gave my pantry a good clean and arrange.

Dinner is in the oven, meatloaf, baked sweet potatoes, cauliflower with Parmesan, for dessert really tart lemon ice with dark as night chocolate and tiny sweet strawberries.

I love and am filled with contentment in my little house in my kitchen. I am so grateful that I am in a place in my life where this comes to me with an ease I have never experienced before. I am thankful for this moment, right now
