My sabatical day.
Just wandered in from long highways, driving fast, windows & roof down, and The Perfect Drug blaring through my soul and my speakers.

drinking a refreshing diet sierra mist..rewrapped booboo ankle..sitting at my desk with my foot elevated..listening to music that makes me smile..ahhh. I love my day off!

i am starting the second half of my day at work. nothing planned tonight-need to catch up on chores and do my 30 minute workout.

...is feeling a bit off kilter, as my day began muuuuch later than normal, but I had a good brunch and am thinking about digging into some crafty things. I have something I need to work on for someone.

Just got home from temple for hallel and sukkot festival, tomorrow is Shemini Azteret and then Simhat Torah, its a hell of a week

So, I am computer unsavvy...
Recently moved to a wonderful apartment and in the process changed internet providers. Had hooked up this albatross of a laptop to hold me over to hooking up the nice...lots of whistles and bells desktop. Attempted to hookup said desktop to which it refused to cooperate. On the phone with the internet service provider tech for 1 hour and 12 minutes. Now I am on a first name basis with Bill Gates, Jr. and God forbid - he could be my son by the sound of his voice. Very well educated but the call ended with..."Ma'am, I just don't what to tell you. We have tried everything there is to try. My system shows you have hooked the equipment up properly...in my years of being an advanced tech. I just can't diagnose your problem. You have been lovely to talk to and I love your sense of humor. I am here at the local call center...would you like to maybe go to dinner sometime? Btw, I am 28." I thanked him for the flattery but suggested he hook up with my daughter instead. He is only 1 year younger than she.
Still no internet connection for the desktop. Thinking this will cost a fortune. Making my day, though...PRICELESS. |
I am stuffed. I just ate some Pasole made by my lovely. Ever the health conscious one she made it with low fat ground turkey.......

Ten minutes later my lungs are on fire and my legs are jello. Apparently.. you have to work up to this whole running for miles around the city thing. Or in my case, running for more than two minutes per burst. |
Just cooked a yummy chicken and rice dinner. The rice didn't turn out crunchy, either! :D

Just had my delicious pizza and my red velvet cupcake from Zoe's in Teaneck a nonprofit organization for young pregnant teens and their babies I feel good buying from that place!!
