5 more things about me

I absolutely adore slow, passionate kissing and can even ignore football for this kind of kissing.

I went into the Army right before Desert Shield, right before Desert Storm started.

I desire so strongly to be held by my lover that I ache when I am not with her.

I love her enough so that she doesn't even have to ask me, I'll rub her feet and legs when she gets off work; it is my pleasure to bring her pleasure.

Actions done for others, out of love for them, can make a daunting task seem easy. Thus, when you're asked if you can watch her daughters again tomorrow (which you find an honor anyway), despite the bickering today, you say, "yes!"

Soft*Silver 12-28-2010 02:45 AM

I am a Dexter fan and love to read books about serial killers.

My theory of why women are so drawn to reading about serial killers is that women are taught anger is not an acceptable emotion for our gender. We are taught we cannot/should not carry anger, display it, show it in any fashion. We bottle it up to the point where we are in so much denial about what angers us that in the extremes, 1) we become guilable enough to buy into abuse when its handed to us as love and at its simplest 2) we find it appealing and exciting and intriguing that someone can actually destroy/kill/maim and get away with it (for the most part..after all, to be a serial killer, you had to have killed three or more victims)

I am pretty much over my fetish about pink. I like the color still, for it is the color associated with compassion, but my PINK PINK PINK craze is done

I cant ride a horse well at all...lol. Even tho I am obsessed about them, and could ride like the wind when I was younger, my physical issues and my additional weight distributes and balances me differently now. AND, I had a horrible fall where I severely injured myself so I am scared of being on a horse...but I WILL ride again. It won't matter if I am a failure at it. It is what I desire the most in all my life...to ride again.

I really want to learn how to make soap. And I cant seem to be able to find one person to show or tell me. I could read a book but I learn better if a person helps me. I keep hoping....

Jesse 12-28-2010 03:03 AM

I have never been able to appreciate chewing gum. My brain just cannot wrap around the idea. In my entire life I have chewed at the most 20 pieces of gum and did not enjoy any of them. Odd I know.

I do not have trouble sleeping, I just have trouble sleeping during "normal" sleep hours. This likely comes from years of working odd shifts.

I dearly love driving my truck, but may be getting to the point where I could appreciate having a smaller, more economical vehicle...well not quite yet...nearly.

I wish that folks got together more often in person in the community like we did years ago. I miss that.

I have been single for about 9 months now and I think I am ready to date again. Slowly.

Tcountry 12-28-2010 03:37 AM

I am always honest...even when not supposed to be

Sometimes I process out loud...best just to listen...

I am afraid of stupid little possibilities

I love deeper than any rational human should...

Always & forever are not words you are likely to hear from my mouth...

bigbutchmistie 12-28-2010 07:50 AM

I listen more than I talk

Im a very blunt person. Most times it just comes out of my mouth. So, never ask me my opinion unless you truly want it :)

I have a huge heart. Ive been known to give my last dollar to someone who needed it more than I.

I have a two half sisters Ive met once.

I have alot of old fashioned values :)

Rook 12-28-2010 09:24 AM

Pixie 12-28-2010 10:02 PM

I am afraid of hate(seen towards me or me towards others)
I would wish the best for my worst enemy
I use love to heal, heal myself, heal friends, heal lovers
I would rather try than wonder
When I am silent, it doesn't mean I don't care

Lynn 12-28-2010 10:15 PM

I'm really easygoing and accepting of most people. But, if someone is really needy in a manipulative way, it turns me off and even makes me angry.

My nephew is marching with his school band in the Rose Bowl Parade. :rrose:

One of my favorite foods is lobster, but I haven't been able to justify the expense of ordering it at a restaurant, so I haven't had it for years. I must get over that, at least once.

We have a mole living in the basement. I tried to catch him with a no-kill trap, but he managed to eat the peanut butter and escape from the trap. We have five cats, but they are afraid of him. From time to time, I hear him chattering at the cats to leave him alone. I probably should catch him and find him a new home....

I love to go places with my partner that she's never been. It's wonderful to see her enjoyment. I hope we can make it to Disneyworld in the next couple of years.

Gráinne 12-29-2010 09:49 PM

I enjoy trash TV and reading far more than I should.

I'm one of those weird people who love(d) math class.

If you live near a mountain range, I can tell you how it got there. In excrutiating detail ;).

I will travel anywhere. The weirder, the better.

I still think ice cream tastes best out of a truck with a little bell on top.

Soft*Silver 12-29-2010 10:16 PM

green has become my favorite color this past year

I want to learn how to spin wool

I have been looking for a change purse and cannot find one.

I am probably going back for another masters, this one in SW

innie

fiercegrrl 12-29-2010 10:46 PM

my bed is like a cloud. its perfect and hard to leave.

my front teeth are cracked from blowing glass. as an assistant to someone blowingthere are times when a piped gets moved and your teeth find themselves in the way...

i get pedicures regularly. having my feet nice makes me feel the same as wearing lingerie.

5 Things!

* I LOVE "Law and Order:SVU" marathons and having it playing today while I dismantle the house.

* I will go out of my way to avoid being stuck under an overpass at a red light, whether it means leaving a 30-foot gap or switching lanes.

* I want me some crab rangoons.

* I can't wait to take Juney's photo at the next Reunion.

* I almost dread giving up my carpet in favor of hardwoods because I love my vacuum that much.

JustLovelyJenn 01-02-2011 01:39 PM

When I'm unsure of myself, I stop talking, contributing, whatever else.

I absolutely love cheese, even though I'm not supposed to eat it.

I feel like this.... :seeingstars: .... all the time lately.

I love to dance while standing in the middle of a river (on a rock).

I want cheesecake... RIGHT NOW!

Jet 01-02-2011 04:07 PM

I'm sensitive to suffering and murdered children. The only thing that consoles me is to ask God to tell them I love them. Otherwise, it really gets to me.

I want a dog.

Rhubarb is my favorite pie.

Watergate and Wesson Oil are my favorite cakes.

I hope people have a helluva lot better year this year than last.
It's got to get better.

Strappie 01-02-2011 04:14 PM

I love my adopted pups...

I truly love my family, we have so much fun together...

I love Mellow Yellow...

My friends mean the world to me ...

I love Football...

You can still vacuum your hardwood! :)

moxie 01-02-2011 04:30 PM

* I cannot snap my fingers.

* I can go for days without talking to anyone, learned to do so as a kid.

* I appear to be rather stoic until you get to know me, then you'll find out I wear my heart on my sleeve and love fiercely.

* I know it's gross, but I like Mild Slim Jims.

* Some people call it sterile, I call it minimalistic, but I don't have a lot of tchotchkes and such. Other than art on the wall, a few candles and some picture frames with pictures, the only knick-knacky thing I have is a matryoshka doll my grandmother gave me.

diamondrose 01-25-2011 02:00 PM

five facts from my childhood

1. When I was a femmelette, I would eat my sub sandwichs layer by layer...
2. I would go to the store with my BFF for candy every time I had a little money..
3. I would get posion ivy all the time, because I loved playing in the woods.
4. I went roller skating at the skating rink every weekend
5. I ate carrots with vinegar.

Soft*Silver 01-25-2011 03:41 PM

I have to keep a daily journal of my sleep patterns, pain levels, and symptomology of my chronic health issues.

I continue to do things in my sleep. I woke up today and all the towels in my bathroom had been changed and the bathroom was cleaned. I dont remember and of it.

I hate the flavors of coconut, pineapple, almond, vanilla, and pumpkin

I finally mastered the art of making jello! I have never been able to make jello and this week I made my first successful batch!

I collect those copper looking jello rings. I hang them up in my kitchen. I also collect cookie cutters.

I keep a food journal and a log of my workouts.

My bathroom is dirty.

Just sayin'.

I :stillheart: ALL of those flavors.

I haven't made jello in a VERY long time.

I like cookies.

:cookielove:

JustJo 01-25-2011 08:57 PM

I make jello several times a week (and sneak in Benefiber to counteract Scoote's pain meds)

I've kept journals on and off throughout my life, but never managed to keep a food journal for more than a couple days

I enjoy thunderstorms, and rain, and snow (but only if I don't have to shovel it)

I like soft ice cream much more than hard ice cream...and soft pistachio ice cream most of all

I love the beach after a storm because it kicks up the coolest shells...but tomorrow is going to be too busy to go...hopefully the shelling will still be good on Thursday

Soft*Silver 01-25-2011 09:41 PM

I dream of horses often. They are always in the same pasture and they are always the same horses.

I dream of riding horses. Some people dream of flying? I dream of riding. I believe I am not in my body when I am doing this. Maybe my body is not even in the bed come to think of it...lol

Mr Smitty my one eyed kitty really stands guard over me. Not like he would physically fight anyone. He is like a dream catcher. He guards me spiritually and emotionally. He is never far from me...its quite obvious to those who visit me

I say a blessing to those I leave, every year, on the day I left them. And I ask forgiveness for whatever harm I brought to them and forgive them for any they did to me. I do this until I no longer need to do this...

I eat way too much candy. I think its because I dont have sex. I have given it up...

KatieStar 01-26-2011 02:55 AM

I am terribly unorganized and have an awful habit of procrastinating.

I love the rain. There's nothing like curling up on a rainy day with a good cd, a book and a glass of red wine to sip on.

The smell of men's cologne makes my knees weak.

I am a documentary junkie... especially ones about sexuality, politics and conspiracy theories.

I'm a tomboy disguised in long hair, makeup and heels. I love the outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking, baseball (I bleed Cubbie blue), football (Go Packers!), playing softball, getting dirty, drinking beer with the guys... and I love every second of it!

bigbutchmistie 01-30-2011 07:57 PM

1. I hate to see femmes cry. I always wanna fix it.. And if its cause for someone making them cry. I wanna kick their ass for doing it :)

2. Im very protective of those I love

3. Im very outspoken

4. I dont like crowds

5. I have no faith in people

Tangle 01-30-2011 08:08 PM

Hmmm only 5!

I'm equal parts feisty/sassy and sensitive, and though it's difficult to tell which side will show, they're both always there working together to make me a slightly unpredictable girl.

I'm pretty traditional - increasingly so, as my understanding of what I want in life becomes very clear - even though I totally enjoy & value open-mindedness, bucking the system, and outrageousness.

I'm a total nerd in a high femme shell... I'm still the honor roll & debate & choir girl wrapped up in a skirt & smiling, makeup-ed eyes.

I get really excited about the little joys in life - a flirty smile from a stranger, a beautiful noble tree, babies & kids & happy couples in the grocery store, the smell of fresh linens on the bed, ... you know. Small, good things.

I've always been extremely loyal, and still am - but demand to be treated with respect and chivalry. Goodness begets goodness.

(I know I'm breaking the rules with 6) I'm a total ditz sometimes, and I like being teased about it!

MadiT 02-02-2011 04:09 AM

1. I love swimming in lakes surrounded by forest
2. I have PT Cruiser, cuz I love vintage cars and it reminds me of one.
3. Whenever it's warm enough, I am always barefoot except when going out.
4. My first concert ever was Shaun Cassidy when I was 9 (yep, you can laugh!)
5. My sister's nickname for me is Piglet

Andrew, Jr. 02-02-2011 01:11 PM

* I love the smell of my garden when it blooms :rrose:

* I have the best neighbors!

* I value and love real friendships. No more fly by night people.

*I enjoy butterflies, listening to birds singing, and nature.

* I love massages - oh yes I do!

* Owls that are visiting me fascinate me.

* I love to look at the stars at night, and yes, I still make wishes on falling stars.

* I love to give people great gifts.

*I enjoy using coupons. I secretly scream inside when I get a coupon doubled.

* The truth scares alot of people, but not me. I hate being lied too.

* I hate crowds. I hate some parties. In fact, I turn them down because of it. I am just not into it, unless I have to go because of my adopted sister and her company.

socialjustice_fsu 02-02-2011 03:26 PM

5 things.

I have a running dialog with God most days (and nights).

Good music and vintage wine are becoming a lifeline these days.

Pinot Grigio, aged cheese, Italian bread and grapes have moved to the top of the food chain for me.

Sharing a cup of hot tea with someone over the miles (hats off to advanced technology) is becoming such a treasured time for me.

I derive great joy while wrapping special gifts for someone who adores life.

Lynn 02-02-2011 05:06 PM

I really enjoy "window shopping" on Etsy.

Our house is starting to look more and more like a mountain getaway refuge, and I love it. (I don't mean the snow, I mean the decorating).

My first concert was Seals and Crofts when I was around 13.

I'm not a chocolate lover. I prefer fruit flavors and vanilla, and will take a peach or cherry pie over chocolate cake any day. Of course, if chocolate is the only choice, I'll take that!

I have some trouble getting rid of things I don't want or need, especially if they were gifts or were associated with someone I love. I'm working on becoming more of a minimalist.

Soft*Silver 02-02-2011 07:48 PM

I don't like to get up before 8:00 am.

I'm not very self-disciplined.

My recent lack of success in my search for a job with more responsibility is raising all kinds of old insecurities that I thought were long gone. Damn.

I hope I always have the presence of cats in my life.

I am unsettled if I have no idea where my children are. Even though they're 18 and 23. Their happiness and wellbeing is still my main concern.
