Happiness is shaking hands with someone and tickling their palm with my index finger.
Happiness is standing in my lawn pointing a hair dryer at cars that pass by. Happiness is telling a VERY strange story to a group of people, then half way through say, "Never mind." Happiness is getting drunk and jumping in a Moon-Bounce. Happiness is inviting lots of people to other people's parties. |
Happiness comes in small moments these days....
Sitting on the floor playing tug-o-war w/my best furry friend of the past decade -- my mini doxie gal. Listening to some soft jazz, a cup of warm coffee in my hand, snuggly blanket wrapped around my knees. A bonfire on a cold night. Mimosas and hooka pipes with pineapple tobacco :) My friends, a sushi restaurant, and an understanding owner who doesn't throw us out no matter how loud we laugh. My nephews, their bright eyes and wide smiles and the way they climb all over me and talk all at the same time because every one of them has SO much to tell me about since the last time I saw them. My father's hugs. My mom's quiet company and rambling conversation. A text or picture from my brother, always on the road making the money it takes to raise his family. My best friend dropping by work to bring me dinner on my birthday. |
