Evening All.Dont worry about dyslexia cause I have it bad enough for everyone on this site, numbers included,oh well whats new?
MS, yes I play pool a fair amount of the time, gotta do something with the time besides play with the fur kids and the daily stuff..retirement sucks!
Hopefuly the doc will be able to get me into LSU med center so this dumb sciatic back prob can get fixed, between that and arthritis im not the knight of old I use to be.There use to be a day not so long ago I could ride my tusty war horse into battle and slay the dragons of life, charm the fair femmes from the ivory towers. Now I do my best but at a slower pace and a warm heart..

Yes,the slower pace is better, just not the gimp and burning pain that goes with it.I hope the doc can find something better than celebrex for my arthritis

I've a question for those so fortunate to be able to join AARP....

Did you join? Is it worth it?

I'm just an ol' cheap fart who is wondering if it is worth it!

Yes, been a member for 9 years now (YIKES!). I have utilized some of the insurance programs, gotten discounts on travel stuff, etc. And ... one of the AARP mags cover story was about... Bonnie Rait!!! WOOT!!!

Oh yeah, she makes getting older look (and sound) great!!!

Wonder if we can use it for rooms at the reunion?

I've been debating about it--it is the insurances that are of most interest to me.

Proably not for the reunion because they are most likely part of a block discount rate. But, I use my AARP card all the time for hotels... especially those that allow dogs!

The long-term group care insurance they offer is worth looking at if you can't get it through work.

Actually, there are several LBGTI owned businesses that give AARP discounts - we baby-boomers are rising in numbers all over the population!Call and ask the ones that you do business with or look them up in LGBTI guides. Obviously, this is more true in larger cities.

you know what i had some time to ponder on this .. and i have to say .......
oh and i am far from .. Dyslexic.... but im sure others here whom maybe.. may find it as a insult.
a friend does NOT .. embrass and humiliate a friend in open public like this.
not to mention it leaves insult to others whom have the same dilemma.
how rude and heartless, ..... wait............
DID I SPELL EVERYTHING CORRECTLY TO YOUR LIKING IN THIS POST???
this is such a insult............ not to just me but others as well.
im not your idea of a joke.. to be laughed at..

Morningstar, good evening.I really dont know where else Branson air flys out of but i'm going to see what I can find out, with fares that cheep I may take a trip or two this year..where, I have no idea.

AtLast 03-03-2010 07:21 PM

Hummmmm.... thinking about our (B-Fers) forming a retirement organization ..... LGBTI related ones exist, but, why not one for the B-F community?

LadyRain 03-03-2010 08:24 PM

Gee Morningstar...i too thought about this. I dont see the rudeness or heartlessness in the post. I dont see an insult either. Why the humiliation? No one in any flollowing posts said..."yeah Morningstar whats up with the dyslexia. In fact she said in another post that she loved ya and you made her laugh. Perhaps its just the "internet", ya know not seeing an expression on the posters face . I hardly think she had any intent other then makin ya laugh...nor do i see a public humiliation, but you have her now for sure. We should be tolerant of each other. I cant spell well, i type too fast and sometimes have a hrad time expressing myself. I have add from a brain injury and i laughed with the post far far from feelin bad cause she used add like that.......:rainsing:
