Feeling like crap today. Gonna miss pride in Philly.. sigh.. was really looking forward to that. Just can't seem to get rid of this thing. Oh well. Had a great day yesterday. Spent it with a facinating person, just relaxing.. having brunch, going for a walk. Nice day all the way around.

First, welcome to the Loft, cuddly! This is a great place to be with really outstanding supportive people! Please do go slowly in the heat and humidity. I know what that's like-I used to live in the MS Delta where the temp got over 100 degrees and the humidity was like someone wrapped a hot wet blanket around you! So, as a welcome to you, I'm offering :tea: (when you're in air-conditioning). This is very good tea-Wuyi Blue Rock Eight Immortals Wulong! And also some:chocolate:, also very good quality-Lindt "a Touch of Salt" bar, dark chocolate with a touch of French sea salt. Enjoy and take it easy!

Got a haircut today! FINALLY!!! I've been wanting to do this for ages but either didn't have the funds or the time. But - went today. Now my hair is all thinned out and somewhat manageable - although I notice I've got quite a bit of grey. I don't mind it - except those renegade ones that stick out at the oddest spots. Next on my list - new glasses. And maybe shoes. |
Yep its hot outside,I herd the heet index was 102 hear today.I was going to workout today but was watching one of my fave tv game shows so I went out a bit later than useal to work out..my g*d it was already to hot at 11am to take a deep breath,wso I cleand off the patio and hosed it off then washed my car...shoulda just went back in and had some ice tea...just too hot..even my fur kids arent going out much.

It is Wednesday and it has been a hella week so far. The excellent things are that my new co-worker is lovely. Such an amazing change in the atmosphere of work.
I have amazing friends who know when to hold me and know when to kick my ass. :wtf: I have the most wonderful, generous loving and sexy boi. :canadian: I am a very strong, very unafraid woman of integrity and generosity. :blueheels: |

My sanctuary has been taken over....
My routine is totally off.... The new med the Dr. Prescribed works intermittently... The house is getting hot... Only one AC works-in the living room... Other than that, I am amazingly blessed. I have a Mom who thinks of me when she goes shopping and calls me, "the best thing that's ever happened to me."... I have a best friend who gave me JUST what I wanted for my birthday... New in town
Hey all,
As I am a new old guyhere at the Planet I wnated to say hi to everyone. I have enjoyed reading through the thread so far... I have definitely slowed down as I passed the 50 mark. But the most recent change I have noticed is due to many friends accidents I have re-evaluated that oh so prevelant attitude of youth - "Throw caution to the Wind" - I now entice caution into my decision making at every step I can... LoL I still live a very fun life - but I now take time to think about how to accomplish all of this fun safely... LoL Let's face it - we break easier than we used to - and we don't heal as fast to boot...just doesnt seem right somehow. So that is my most recent observation about changes as we grow older. And I think it applies to most everything I have read here so far. We don't go out and drink as often because it takes a greater toll on us - we go to bed earlier than we used to because staying awake for 3 - 4 days just isn't fun anymore... LoL So as week approach a fun filled weekend...I am cautiously opptomistic that a good time will be had by all - "safely." |

For discovering one's true inner nature, I think one should try to take out some time, with quiet and relaxation, to think more inwardly and to try to investigate the inward world. That may help. Then when one is very much involved in hatred or attachment, if there is time or possibility during that very moment, just try to look inward and ask: "What is attachment? What is the nature of hatred?

hi all. Hope everyone is having a good day.
I slept like a log last night - I even managed to sleep through a very heavy rain. It woke my sister up but not me. I think I heard some hail hitting the air conditioner at one point but I just rolled over and went back to sleep. It seems things are rather undecided with the weather - can't seem to make up its mind if it should rain or not. Quite windy too. Just had an early dinner - chicken, rice and beans. Very good! Watched the Uruguay and South Africa soccer match. I was pulling for the underdog. But no luck today - the South Americans won 3 - 0. I'm going to head out in a bit - go for a walk and maybe do a bit of shopping. Have a good day everyone. |
