I'm borrowing a bit of time for myself today because it's the only day off I have until NYE and Sunday. So I'm gonna buy some time on the washer and dryers at the washeteria. Then go get a few groceries. Then go home and bake some canna butter goodies and enjoy a slow burning buzz while I wait for my honey to come home from work.

Let me catch up. Since Christmas..

Visit to the Ron Jon Surf Shop, a cute solar powered hula dancer. You know the cheesy one!
A sweet little wave ring. Aqua.
Long sleeve Ron Jon logo mint green tee
At Disney, lunch and Rudolf red nose margarita.
A plate of various baklava for Mom.

Yesterday at work, 2 2½ ft. Extension cords and dish sponges

$273 worth of groceries for our trip up to the mountain cabin. Of course, half of that was beer (cheap beer mostly, at that). And another $56 worth of stuff that I ordered from Amazon Fresh when we got home, because they didn't have it at Publix.

I choked when I saw gas at $3.79 this morning!

Two beautiful dresses (for work or play), a cashmere sweater jacket for my honey, and a leather key fob for James too. Molly goes in for her bath/spa day, this Saturday.

Gas is expensive out here on the West Coast. Premium is $4.29/gal (for my car) in my neighborhood. In town, Portland, it is even more expensive. By 50 cents more (nearly 5 bucks a gal).

$1978.00 of fuel oil. Phew...I did not think I was going to make it, I was going to run out and then pay for an emergency refuel. Hell 2K is enough for a little over a month. Hurry spring get here!

OMG, $2K for a month? What exactly does that get you - more than just heating your house, I hope? Sorry for the ignorant question, but I'm down here in Georgia where we don't do the fuel oil thing, as far as I know.

nhplowboi 02-01-2023 06:24 AM

Unfortunately just another month of heat. This is a big old farmhouse with next to nothing for insulation and then that's combined with the increase of gas/oil prices. This is definitely the most expensive heating season I've ever had in 25 years but at least I am now headed down the back side of the heating season. I will admit I have seriously considered building a small energy efficient "winter" home on the property that could be rented out in the summmer for extra $$.
