But given that there are people who do think like this and do think this ad is completely appropriate, wouldn't you rather know they are there so you can see them coming? As completely repulsive as the ad is, it's one more thing that we can point at and say, "okay, when we're talking about this bigotry this is what we mean..."

Anyone who, knowing about this ad, puts this guy's campaign sign on their lawn is advertising to their neighbors "I'm a bigoted prick and I vote my conscience". If I were that person's neighbor, I'd want to know that. Anyone who puts a bumper sticker with this guy's name on it is advertising to the world just where he stands. If I were that person's co-worker, I'd want to know where he stands so I can give them something of a wide berth.

It's still odious and obnoxious that people would think this kind of thing at all acceptable, but there are people who *do* think just that and if they make it that much easier to spot them so I can either avoid them or be on my guard well, all the better.

Lastly, that ad is going to be an albatross around his neck for the rest of his political career. If he ever aspired to national office, he can pretty much cash that one in because it's likely never going to happen now and if he *were* the national candidate for, say, some third-party formed by disaffected Republicans that ad would dog him through any campaign. Hell, he's running against Alan Greyson and he just handed Greyson a gift! You think for a minute Greyson won't use it against him in the general election? If his campaign manager doesn't have a copy of that ad tucked away someplace to be deployed when needed, then that person is guilty of gross professional negligence.

It never ceases to amaze me when misguided or biased people make sweeping generalizations based on Race,
Religion, Politics or Gender. None of these are indicators of terrorists. Look for suspicious BEHAVIORS.

If you're packing fertilizer and diesel fuel into the bed of your truck, that action is going to grab my attention.
If you're sweating and nervous on a cool day, while checking the wick in the sole of your shoe...
If you show up at the City water supply and start chucking vials of ??? over the fence
If you're a disgruntled scientist working at Government bio-defense labs...sending a whole lotta letters. Helllll-oooooo...
If you're a U.S. Military Explosives Specialist and continue to play with explosives as a civilian...
it isn't a cute phase he's going to grow out of...

Race, Religion, Politics, Gender is not a component necessary to complete any of these scenarios.
...and if anyone remembers, the suspects in the above mentioned scenarios are US Citizens. Terrorists
recognized only after they initiated their activity.

Wow....disturbed and pissed off. First of all how the hell are they going to sensor the word bitch and fuck on television but show this on a free television...How the heck does that fly. Secondly who is this ignorant ass....this man needs to be taken out back somewhere. Also as mentioned how are these actors even choosing to participate in such a degrading commercial. This is the bottom of the barrel and exactly why there is some much hate and continued racial tension in the world. I expect more from anyone but this is truly uncalled for....Shame on him!
